take from shels web

Got to the ground early last night, apparently only minutes after Ollie had attacked the mouth that is Roderick Collins. Expecting to hear that it had been prompted by his Roddiness I was given an eye-witness account that confirmed the opposite. 3 punches thrown, 1 by RC that flattened Ollie.

In the red corner: an obese, aging convict
In the green and white corner: a former boxer and brother of the former world champion.

Ollie isn't just a hooligan, he's a very stupid hooligan.

I haven't seen the Star but sounds like brilliant publicity for the league. Shades of Premiership soup & pizza fight...?

There is a picture in the indo sports supplement of Ollie where you can see a redness on the side of his head - Brilliant :D

Hmmmm. Fair play to Collins. For a man who loves to hear himself speak he didn't mention this in his post match interview and in fact praised Shels as a club. What the hell were they scrapping over?

The el have announced that there will be a "full investigation" into the incident.

So that will be the end of it then......;)

FAI and eL should be hyping the whole thing up, its great promotion for the league, the only people who dont love to see this sort of stuff are the idiot journalists and commentators (at least in public) and the FAI. Remember how much you laughed when Bowyer and teammate started pummelling each other.

bad thing. I hate both of them but would love to see Roddy nail him. It would be pleasure you couldnt measure :p

In fairness...How thick was he taking on RC...not biggin the guy up or nothin..he's a bit of a joke and he talks a lot of crap but one thing you'd have to say is the guy is gonna be handy....Growing up in familly like that your gonna learn to take a punch and give a few back. ;)

Will there be a re-match, and where can I get a ticket ? :D :D

Ollie has had this coming for a long time. Not a Roddy fan particularly, but fair play to him.

(Not that I condone violence either, you understand :D )

:ball: Publicity for the league yes...but positive publicity??? I dont think so!

This episode does nothing to enhance the image of the league imo. :(

Shame on both of them for behaving like this. Seeing as Ollie was going on about Rovers being hooligans and kicking them out of the league, can we presume he'll do the honourable thing a resign? Throw the book at him

To be fair to Ollie, he must have picked up a few tips in the joint that made him think he had a chance at taking The Rod down. He can kill a man with a lunch tray, you know.
