Bohemians giant defender Jimmy Aggrey is on the verge of a move to English Conference side Woking after agreeing an 18-month contract with the club.

Aggrey, 29, is on a short-term deal with the Gypsies and was keen on remaining at Dalymount Park but manager Gareth Farrelly said the club were unable to meet his demands for a longer-term deal. More (http://www.breakingnews.ie/2005/06/17/story207536.html)

I take it thats why Farrelly is trying to sign Cooney ? No great loss in fairness to Bohs, he's totally over rated

I don't think he's a big loss to them, he's huge, but not good imho.

That said, poor reflection EL when Conference sides can offer a player more than one of Irelands top 5 clubs.

In fairness to woking they are an extremely well run club, with good investors, they have also been on a few good FA cup runs over last 10 or so years, they are not struggling financially what so ever and can afford to offer pretty good wages, but they must be off there rockers to offer Aggrey big money ! he is brutal

Bohs are lucky to be rid of him, he's awful

I'd imagine Bohs having gotten a look at him are not going to push the boat out to keep him. Ok, if you pump up high balls he'll win most things in the air but he turns like a barge and isn't good with the ball at his feet.

The impression I got from the report that it was length of deal, rather than financial, as to why bohs wouldn't meet his demands.

Probably more to do with Bohs having actually seen him play too often.....:D

Bohs would be delighted to get rid of him I'd say. He's pure muck.

He has scored more goals than Glenn Crowe this season though :D

Means: Aggrey wanted to stay at Bohs, Bohs didn't want him to stay.

Spot on I'd say. Didn't impress me at all the couple of times I saw him play.

be intresting to see if he can make it at a bigger club though. Woking are after all the team of Paul Weller....

he's totally over rated

Over rated? I doubt you'll find a EL fan, Bohs or otherwise, who thinks he's anything other than cack. Though I suppose that still makes him over rated...

You'll find they (Bohs) think more of him than Crowe, he's scored more goals and all. They think the man is a legend, ****e but a legend

I think Bohs fans think more of pretty much everyone on the planet than Crowe.

Farrelly has opted against signing him. Aggrey is useless!

The Conference gets crowds comparable to the EL.

Jimmy Aggrey was with Yeovil Town in 2002-2003 for eight months, but only got a couple of starts.

Think he went to TNS after that - who get 3-400
