From Aertel: (http://www.rte.ie/aertel/p226.htm)
Arsenal star Robin van Persie will be held in custody in Rotterdam for a third night over rape allegations and prosecutors will tomorrow apply to a judge to hold him for up to 14 more days.
The striker is being held in custody in Rotterdam after a woman alleged he launched a sex attack on her late on Saturday night.
If convicted, van Persie could be jailed for up to 12 years .

The prosecuters are looking to extend him being held for another 14 nights. Looks like this one could be serious. Innocent until proven guilty though. I was shocked to see that he's actually married

could very well be true but I am convinced of nothing just because it's Robin Van Persie. Basing the possible truth on what you imagine or think a player is capable of is ridiculous. If that was the case i'd say he's innocent straight away when he very well might not be.
How anyone could even think to be convinced one way or the other about something they know no details of in the first place is beyond me
If it's true they'll charge him and they haven't done that yet. Innocent until proven guilty just like Finnan, Sukur etc...........
Can only imagine the outrage if I came on the Ireland or Liverpool thread and said I'm not convinced about Steve Finnan, just maybe he's a murderer based on the fact I don't like how he plays or his attitude on the field etc etc.
Obviously I've a bit more sence than that :)
True. But Van Persie is a dirty little ****er on the pitch, so there's a higher probability that he's a rowdy ****er off it. While not assuming he's guilty of this offense, maybe he's a little more likely to be guilty than if it were Fabregas.
