This does belong in this forum - anyone who wasn't in Cafe Natur in Tórshavn last Saturday wouldn't understand! ;)

The evil HB went three points clear at the top of the Faroese league last week, but only because the forces of good - B36 - had their match postponed due to the weather. Info from the B36 website (http://www.fcb36.org/) (check out the crowds at the games! The stands seem full anyway!). However, after that controversial and completely and utterly undeserved heart-breaking last-kick 2-1 defeat to HB in the Second Division on Saturday, the reserves are in the relegation play-off spot without a win after six games... :(

The HB website, for those who converted to the evil Bohs/Trinity lookalikes, is here (http://www.hb.fo/forframes.htm).

If HB draw Liverpool in the Champions' League, I reckon we head over in the various scarves and jerseys and join the Faroese lads in Anfield! :) Similar story if they draw Shels! :p

Pineapple, Bald Student and myself managed to get the scarves
for free cos we turned up to watch the Division 2 game.
The lad running the shop was on holidays so another official grabbed
a few and threw them out to us :D

i think the natives in cafe natur thought we were slighty cracked, as we were jeering each other because of their local teams, was quite funny

my alligence is with HB, as myself and ash agreed earlier in the week that we would choose a team each and fight to the death, he picked B96 and i took
the legends that are HB...........take that ash

but unfortunately i did not make it down to the game
but i was there for post-match analysis

Its a bad sign when the cafe natur locals think you're cracked...

surely a case of "takes one to know one"?!

Was HB the team that had the badge that was the hammer, bit like the old East German badge, Tried that hat on in that sports shop cause I liked the badge but once again like Brian Clough my head was just too big.

That's HB, yeah. I think that's a new crest (it's different to the one on the pin I got anyway).

HB are 5 points clear now. B36 only drew with relegation threatened TB. :D

If HB's crest was added to the Avatar list on this site how many would change to it?

If HB's crest was added to the Avatar list on this site how many would change to it?I'd rather get into a fist fight with Roddy Collins.

Once B36, Always B36.

If HB can just beat FBK Kaunas of Lithuania, they get Liverpool in the Second Round!!! Or TNS. ;)

B36 get a derby with Vestmannaeyjar of Iceland; Runavík get Metalurgs of Latvia...

And our reserves finally won!

there is a 3 way tie at the top of the faroese league
the mighty HB are on top on goal diff.
next are skala and B36 are third, all on 29 points

HB were held to a 2-2 draw, skala were 3-1 winners, and poor B36 lost 1-0

Check out Skála - only promoted a few years back, from a village of 600 people and already got European experience!

Glad your his heart is in the right place, but actually Skála are number one,
and MIGHTY HB two…

If equal on points, then the rules state that games against each other will
decide the ranking order. If equal again, then the goal difference will decide
matters.

The results so far, are:

Skála – HB 4-3
HB – Skála 1-2

Skála – B36 1-1
B36 – Skála 2-2

B36 – HB 0-0

(They play 3 times against each other – so one will have 2 home games and
the other only 1).

Skála have won both games against HB and are therefore ranked higher.

Both games between Skála and B36 ended in a draw (away goals do not
count double), and therefore the goal difference comes into consideration.
Skála has +15 and B36 +13 –> therefore Skála are on top.

HB and B36 have played only 1 game against each other which ended in a
draw, hence goal difference will decide matters, and as mighty:-) HB have
+19 and B36 +13, HB takes second spot and B36 are third.

* Caveat emptor: The leading local sports paper ranked B36 2nd... So,
maybe it’s too complicated even for me :-) But I still bet on my own ranking
mathematics.

But it IS darn complicated!

:D

Just found my new number two team! Good lads, Skála. Respectable performance in Europe too (losing 2-0 and 1-0 to a Finnish team)

HB on top of league still, by goal difference
thumped IF 9-0, beat KI 3-2 and next game is the HUGE local derby against arch rivals B36 on August 7th

C'mon HB

Just to finish off this thread, B36 sealed the league with a 2-1 win over HB on the last day of the season, coming from 1-0 down at half-time. Check out the crowd after (http://www.fcb36.org/)! I assume B36 were fined and warned as to their future conduct. HB sink to third, behind Skála, and only ahead of NSÍ on head-to-head record after NSÍ won 6-5 on the final day!

Campiones!:p

It's a bit of an in house joke between the people who made the trip.
