Really like that Sligo away jersey. That reminds me of the one dundalk had in the mid 80s with thin black stripes on it!

What do the stars symbolise for Dundalk and Sligo ? Anything in particular ?

Generally its accepted in most leagues, but certainly not mandatory that a club puts (if they want) a star over the crest to indicate 10+ league titles. DFC are on 14, so this went on at the start of the 2015 season when we moved to 10. Its a nice top that Sligo one, but for me it should be behind the neck at the back.

DFC have one for former groundsman who died last year Harry Taffe 'H' in that spot, also for the away top we have JM for Jim Murphy, the club historian who died year before last, in same area, I think that's appropriate.

For Sligo, is this to indicate a poem from a famous fan who has passed on?

We finally brought out our away kit a few weeks ago - https://www.umbro.ie/waterford-fc-away-jersey-2021-black . Not sure why it took so long, there were talks of us releasing this top back in December. Nonetheless I think it’s beaut. Managed to get it last night in the Umbro sale for €52

Nice shirt, The new Umbro range is excellent. It’s their best in years , I was down the club shop the other day and was really impressed. We have a new black range and it’s class.
