I don't know what was going on on Friday night but it appears to me that everything that's been wrong for the last 2 1/2 years was all simultaneously fixed on Friday!

Firstly on the pitch the team were excellent - all 11 players worked their socks off and everyone there will acknowledge that United should have won.
This reminded me of how the team were playing in the playoff season when we just lost out to Drogheda - many of the players are the same but since the defeat in Drogheda the spirit and belief have never appeared to be there.
Hopefully this can be a turning point and we can start moving up the table.
Also at the end of the game the players applauded the fans (despite there not being as many as hoped for) and did so again when they came back out - it's nice that we're all friends again! :o

Apart from that there was a piece by the chairman in the programme, maybe John Fallon has been writing in the programme all season and I haven't seen it because I haven't been there but I seriously can't remember the last time I saw a piece by any chairman in a United programme!

Hopefully losing to Sligo will be the low point in the clubs history - I guess after losing at home to Kilkenny and getting hammered by Sligo things HAD to get better! :)

Fingers crossed for tonight - no update on Aertel yet... is that a good or a bad sign?!

J

P.S. Also forgot to say that it was good coming on and seeing all the messages - I wonder what it says about us that the longest thread was the one about The King's Head!!! :D

ten minutes to half time, if we can hold out til the half, as least we just have to score one in the second half to sneak it!!! a goal for cork before the half would be disasterous
