The FAI has learned and moved on from the position it found itself in 2002, according to Genesis' CEO Alistair Gray.

Gray returned to Merrion Square to monitor the progress Irish football's governing body has made since it released its initial report in November 2002 and believes that the association has taken its recommendations on board.

Over the years there have been different people running the FAI but the concept is that whoever is there is a "muppet". Do you automatically become a muppet by joining or working for the FAI or is it something in the air in Merrion Square that renders you a "muppet" ? Why is it that no matter who is there, controversy follows ?

The FAI consists of people, most totally dedicated to Irish soccer, and yet they can't seem to get it together. This is one of the mysteries of life to me. In 10 years time there will be different people working for the FAI but people on here will still call them muppets because they work for the FAI.

They have done ok in some respects, bearing in mind the limited resources at their disposal, but I'm not sure what else is required from them to be able to get rid if the "muppet" association ?

Thats not a bad decision IMO. Anyone got a list of positive things that have been done since John Delaney has become Interim CEO and now Permanent :o

Ol floppy head himself has certainly been keeping out of the limelight.
