Who will surprise us next year, get your predictions in now.....
My choice is Barry Cogan, Millwall, very highly rated right winger/forward, out a lot of last season thru injury....

Joey O'Brien at Bolton will come good in the second half of the season.

I would of said Mark Rossiter at Sunderland but not now because he is joining Harps so he's gone downhill :D . Was plagued with injuries throughout his career though, and is now retiring from pro-football :(

I'd also like to see... Liam Miller get away from Old Trafford and prove that he can do a job for someone.
I hear Multiplex are after recruiting extra labourers to make sure that Wembley Stadium's finished on time. I'm sure he'd be of more use to them down there than ever he's been to Ferguson or Kerr...

Kelly will continue to improve at Spurs I reckon, and become impossible not to play at right back.

Get down the bookies then. I reckon you'll get the long odds that such a bold prediction deserves. :D
I do hope you're right, but only because the lads' abilities render it impossible to omit them from the regular competitive senior starting XI, and not because of the overall paucity of talent. Who knows though? Let's have this conversation again in, say, ten years' time...

John O'Shea here too.
Man Utd will be struck by a spate of injuries in midfield, and with no money to sign anyone O'Shea will seize his chance and become a midfield dynamo extroadinaire. Johan Vogel will be sent flying.

He was on standby for the Portugal (I think it was that game anyway) after getting a run in the man city first team and scoring against Norwich.
My prediction?
Glenn Whelan - not so much an improvement as getting more involved with the senior setup.
Don't be surprised if Connolly takes his end of season form into the new season, esp with a World Cup coming up.
Good call on Burgess and Delaney Stuttgart, I've been watching Delaney's progress ever since Taylor made him his first signing for Hull.

Ahh, beat me to it. Really hope he pushes on with Wednesday in the Championship because we (Ireland) really need someone new in centre-midfield.

Spent yesterday with an old mate who is a Man City season ticket holder and he reckons Willo won't make it there.
I heard that Willo was released by City.

I doubt that but I wouldn't be too bothered. Pearce seems to have a few reserve players ahead of him in the pecking order. He'd definitely have a choice of a few clubs.

We really need a midfielder of quality to come through the ranks soon after all the false dawns i.e Colin Healy, Liam Miller, Stephen Mcphail... , maybe if we qualify for WC2006 we could unearth another Andy Townsend (Irish grandparents etc), if not things are not looking good, Keane 33, Kavanagh 31, Holland 31, and Kilbane 28 (good but not the kind of class midfielder required to boss the game at this level).. Worrying times!

Thats not too promising then. He'd be 22 now. Would need to really push on next season.

Since taking over City, Pearce has continuously played a young right winger called Croft ahead of Willo Flood. Even if SWP leaves City, Willo is not guaranteed a place. I'm sure there would be plenty of takers if he was made available. Needs to spend the summer in gym, build him up a little.

i would hope for burgess since he might give us the skillful bigman option at the front, something i hoped sadlier could've provided. kelly at times looks terrific (but young and momentarily dozey) and o'shea, while i knock his faults from time to time, has some class. thornton... if he'd only get the finger out and realize what he's doing
