Not sure about them thinking they were the best team in the league but yeah they didn’t give us a guard of honour
In fairness to Shams the club issued a statement after the game to clarify that it was pure bitterness on the part of the club and supporters rather than arrogance on the part of the players, which was nice of them.

We’ll sir, I doff my hat in respect to your response

That wasnt so hard was it now! Mutual respect, progress already! and we're only talking about guards of honour - wait until November 2021 and with a league won with games to go i'm sure there will be ongoing respectful guards of honour...when Bohs win the title and the last game is v Rovers in Dalymount (wont suggest a possibility of winning it in Tallaght as that's caused a whole load of grief already). Now that would be some serious gesture if it ever came to pass!

I thought it was petty, to be fair. Most fans probably did though I remember plenty laughing about it.

Well they certainly have more chance of winning the title next year than dundalk.
That is, of course, unless super Mario uncovers some mushrooms and gives his team some badly needed oomph.

Oh I picked Bohs over Dundalk above for the obvious reasons, that they could be more likely to be main challangers for the league again in 2021!

Smart move by Rovers. Should keep the bad PR away if fans do show up at least.

If Watch LOI was on offer for €100 a season like GAA Go, I’d buy it now.

Up north it’s £7 a game!

Still no word on the cancelled game on weds but I expect Rovers to get the points. We’ll play the cup game v Sligo at some point.

Will tune in for the Galway - Longford game, got a soft spot for Longford but unfortunately their resources aren’t what of what the opposition they or Galway have.

DCSIL you would probably know more than me how come BBC NI dont show the NI league highlights anymore on Saturdays?

Top class performance from Pats in all aspects bar the finishing. Kelly and Gibson should be scoring those chances but that sums up our season to be honest. Failed to score in 10 of the 18 league and cup games this season, the fact that Europe can be obtained with a win against Bohs coupled with a Finn Harps win on Monday really doesn’t reflect well on the league

Champions of Ireland, we know what we are.

The standard of the other teams in the league is of no concern to Rovers- They have enough self belief now to continue on reaching the targets they set for themselves.

Hopefully the upcoming 2 games in 48 hrs will not be a hindrance in seeing out the league campaign unbeaten

Someone better tell Stephen Bradley! He’s constantly been saying in interviews over the years that he wants the standard of all the teams in the league to raise so everybody in the league benefits from more competitive games

Worst standard league season EVER!!!

I’ve not been around to see them Marty, so couldn’t answer. They still put goal clips up on Twitter I’ve noticed.

Probably to get more people to watch the Highlights show when it comes out, it’s not as good as the Irish League Show that was on before.

Yeah think the highlights show is online DCSIL as far as I can remember hearing from BBC NI before.

You're being far too kind.

Waste of time even taking part in the playoffs to be honest. The agony has just been needlessly extended by another 4 days. End the season now please.

I know my stuff :D

You share the same amount of bad memories as the rest of us, a healthy dose of skepticism is the default for LOI supporters

I too had given up on the season when we hit our sticky patch a month ago. Getting Dean Byrne fully fit for us was key!
