Best gig I've been to in years.
The guys are legends, Mavers is one of the greats even if only about 20 of his songs are in the public domain. Hopefully there will be a new LP this year as rumoured

Well musically there are no flies on him anyway. He didn't talk to the crowd, though he never did before.
He hasn't changed looks wise a bit since the There She Goes video though.

I was at Weezer too. Great stuff. Must say as a 5 foot 9 or 10 guy I felt dwarfed in Vicar Street. The Weezer crowd were very tall. :)
Weezer were smashing!!!
so many good gigs on last night!!
Was planning to go, but then they were announced for Oxegen I'll see them there instead

The lead singer is the guy with probs, the other guy formed Cast.

But which one is Mavers?
Tbh, I liked Cast but thought they were a little lightweight, sort of occupied a zone between indie and radio/chart friendly pop..
Mavers is the singer/songwriter.
John Power, the bass player, formed Cast and was their singer songwriter.
I was going to say that Cast were like Wings to the Beatles, but they are more like Ringo's All Starr Band to the Beatles.
Cast were alright. Like a lot of these fair to middling indie bands, one album wonders, since they have years of material for that first one...
