Never heard of him. He could be the man for them , as they need a rocket up their backside after the Shamrock Rovers game.

Well I think it's gonna be a long, long time...

I have heard of him . He used to play for Waterford Utd and was part of their backroom staff under Alan Reynolds.

I see some people give out about 'the manager merry-go-round', but its really not the case in the LOI. It seems like its a complaint borrowed from British football. In fact, maybe the opposite is true, where there is too big of gap of experience for the mangers.

Bohemians: Keith Long- Third job
Cork City: Neale Fenn- second LOI job, first in the premier.
Derry City:Declan Devine- Second job with the same club.
Dundalk: Perth first job. Filippo Giovagnoli - first LOI Job
Finn Harps: Ollie Horgan- First LOI Job.
St Patrick's Athletic: Stephen O'Donnell- First LOI job.
Shamrock Rovers: Stephen Bradley- First LOI job.
Shelbourne: Ian Morris- First LOI job.
Sligo Rovers: Liam Buckley- 7 LOI jobs.
Waterford: Rockett- First LOI job.

So Keith Long and Liam Buckley are the only managers to have managed another club in the premier. Just a thought.

It's an interesting stat alright. Very few LoI managers go abroad (are Stephen Kenny and Michael O'Neill about the only ones? Sligo's regular foreign contingent apart), so it seems the job of an LoI manager is a bit of a fool's errand in the way - try it once and don't go back?

A new generation has certainly come through. It’s good to see younger coaches get a chance. Id say though it’s a budgetary necessity in a lot of cases to take a punt on someone.

Andy Myler and Tim Cahill at UCD and Drogheda are first-timers

John Caulfield at Galway is in his second job, though has a lot of experience of course. Devo at Cabo has been around the block.

Gary Cronin at Bray and Daire Doyle at Longford - think it's their first jobs? To be honest, I had to google those.

Yeah first manager jobs for both. Both formerly assistants at LTFC.

I think it's inevitable that a lot of the old managers that used to be on the merry go round are gone. The game has moved on.

It's not a coincidence the only manager with a bit of experience still working is bucko who likes to play football

Tim Cahill at Drogheda

Haven’t seen Drogheda since they were relegated from the premier. Does he run over to the corner flag and punch it every time they score? ;)

Franny has been a coach at the club for a number of years and also played for the club in the past. It’s great to see three young local coaches lead the team - Franny Rocket, David Breen and John Frost.

Great to have so many ex players involved
