Finally is right Twotouch. I am baffled as to why the league is starting so late, possibly giving the GAA time to finish (which is a poor reflection on the league IMO).

All very quiet on the transfer side. Shane Stack gone to Aisling from NCW but I did see Liam MCCartan in one of NCW pre season friendly pics - good signing if he plays.

Glin and NCW back training for quite some time so they’ll be itching to go. They might challenge Rathkeale and Abbey for league. Time will tell.

Have you the division 1 fixtures twotouch? Can't see any fixtures anywhere. Where did you get them?

There's no hope of finishing the season proper this season i think. Some teams have 9 games played in the city before we even start. Wet weather will see games called off soon and fai Cup to start soon. We'll be lucky to have 5 league games played by Christmas. Desmond league have surely lost players to the city because of the delay, and i don't think they'd care if they did.

Hard to see many surprises this year. Think the usuals will challenge. Adare appear to have copped on a bit and should be better than last year so there may be a good battle at the bottom between a few.

Can't wait to be back

Is Division 2 only 6 teams?

agree two touch - have to be positive - this thing will be lingering, you do your best to play out - do the FAI|Munster comps go ahead??

Yeah only 6 in division 2. The 6 that were there last year and division 3 is returning teams - not a bad idea.

Most soccer leagues across country playing full fixture list so good that ours is staying positive and attempting to do so as well.

I see in the observer Chris Smith is gone from Abbey and Kilcornan and Ballingarry have recruited well. I expect the premier to be a bit tighter this year. Mid-table teams seemed to be more competitive to the top 3 last season, I think it will be similar this year. Not sure are they getting stronger or the top getting weaker. Either way it makes for an exciting league and it’s great to have a bit of normality back.

ah, fair enough way to break it up - is that 2 or 3 round's of fixtures then? presumable 3 for 15 games

Going to be a strange season again . Hard to see the restrictions stopping after the coming 3 weeks

sportsfanatic

Is it possible we will have scheduled games next month with easing of restrictions expected as long as numbers remain low? Obviously it’s a bad time of year with weather expected to take a turn in next few weeks but with most pitches after getting a well deserved break the past 8/9 months we could get one or two league games out of the way in December and maybe another one or two in January. Maybe I’m just wishful thinking.....

This season is a write off , be doing well to get up and running in September October for a 2021/22 season . Going to be interesting to see where players and clubs are at after such a period of inactivity. Some players are chomping at the bit whilst some have put on a lot of conditioning , others might not to want to go back to sacrificing 26 Sundays a year and have discovered other interests . Be a challenge for all sports including underage teams .

Ferry Rangers have joined the Kerry District League I notice. Played a couple of cup games recently.
