Can this be made a sticky please
To all Sligo Exiles,
I'm sure most people know this by now but Ocean Fm broadcasts Sligo Rovers home games(the whole game, live) and gives updates for all the away games. You can listen live on their website here:
http://www.oceanfm.ie/onair/index.php# (Click the listen live icon on the left-hand side of the screen)
Just thought it was a good idea to let Sligo Rovers fans, who cant make it to the match for whatever reason, know that they can still hear the whole game live, ;) .

Definitely - better than nothing. Safe to say that the League of Ireland First Division doesn't get much coverage on the BBC over here lol!
Now I just need a computer I can actually bloody listen to it on - no speakers at home :(

Ocean FM are unable to broadcast home matches because of the lack of Broadband in the Business Park in Collooney. For the thousands Bit of Red fans living away from Sligo this is such a loss and I suggest everyone that can should contact Eircom to complain. We appear to have the biggest communications companies in the world operating out of Ireland but in a thriving business community in Collooney the service is non existent.
Good luck with your work.
Up the reds,
-------------
Not sure if it's the case of not having broadband that is stopping Ocean covering home games, but no harm giving this a go so all our exiles can hear home games, if broadband is the factor
This link brings you to a form that can be filled and sent to eircom to complain about this. I suppose the more complaints received the better.

I e-mailed them a few weeks ago and they said that the online broadcast is coming from the Donegal studio because there is no broadband in the Sligo one at the moment. When they get broadband installed in Sligo then they will have to seperate live feeds available online-one from Donegal and one from Sligo.

the commentary on ocean yesterday was suprisingly good..maybe cos the game was quality but i thought it was excellent...maloney and o dwyer knew what they were taking about, they got excited when rovers went forward[at one stage maloney squealed like a girl] and when one said "gerry carr scores at both ends, that doesnt happen very often" they didnt even laugh... :D
much better than 20min updates!
