Is he saying that the Palestinians have nothing to do with Irish fans and their views and opinions do not reflect that of the average fan (ie HIM).

THe Israeli oppression of the inhabitants of Occupied Palestine is an abomination.

The Zionist regime has confiscated Palestinian lands and benefitted from their harvests for decades.

The palestinians have been corralled in camps such as Gaza and the West Bank and their movements are restricted at the whim of the Israeli defence Forces.

Any protest against such treatments will be supported by me and I'll proudly bring my Palestinian flag with me tomorrow night...

That may well be the case but the let's not drift away from the topic...Hunter = Muppet!

Nothing wrong with protesting but a Palestinian flag has no place at an Irish international game.

As has been said, protest outside the embassy.

i personally dont give a tinkers curse about the palestinians when it comes to saturdays match - if ireland fans were to protest against every country we didnt like or disagree with in international football we'd spend a lot of time protesting

will the israelis be carrying banners slagging off the gards in this country or our inhuman treatment of asylum seekers and refugees?

You're obviously not a football fan if you've only started to post now (with the reports of protests tomorrow) to put across a political argument. Get a ticket for Questions and Answers or apply for a job with for Prime Time if you have something political to say.

Was sick when I heard of people hijacking the match tomorrow ....will be trying not to let it take the shine of what promises to be a good sporting occassion.

I wouldn't like to see Palestinian flags at this game tomorrow. It's not fair on the Israeli players who have nothing to do with what their government or elements of their defence forces get up to. If you're going to protest against a country, you couldn't pick a better target than Israel (although Palestine has as many questions to answer) but why people are choosing to make some mickey-mouse protest during a football game instead of going to the embassy and letting the right people know about it is beyond me.

As for rqumentative, can you make a point without roaring expletives? You come across as a drunk teenager.

I dont believe protests should take place within the stadium, peaceful protests yes. But please do not boo their anthem etc, it achieves nothing and only looks bad oon our part. Outside the stadium, before and after the game protest all you like, but not the stadium before and during the game.

I have calmed down but I think if you read any of my posts they are all responses to posts with verbal abuse toward peaceful protestors:

My first post responded to verbal abuse from Colie.
My second post responded to verbal abuse from wws.
My third post was a tame response to a tame post from drinkfeckarse.
My fourth post was to explain to Colie that I was responding to his verbal abuse.
My fifth post was a simple answer to a post from Dublin12.
My sixth post was a response to more abuse from wws.
My seventh post was a simple response to Tired&Emotional.
My next post was the one you responded to here.

I think you will see that I have been attacked verbally and simply responded each time. However depending on who is admin here, you are possible correct and I will be banned because my views don't fit in.

I don’t usually add anything to political type threads cos I honestly don’t
know enough about the issues, but what i do know is holding a political
protest (albeit peaceful) at the Ireland Israel match will do nothing for the
plight of the Palestinian people and anything abusive towards Israel at the
game might land the FAI in bit hot water.

Like someone mentioned, if people are really concerned about Israel/Palestine
issues why not head to the embassy and make your feelings known.
Hold a protest there!

I for 1 am heading to the game to watch the match and support the Irish team. Nothing more, nothing less

Israeli soccer players do not make government policy so why are people are going to protest against them? Also, the Irish fans who went to the game in Israel a few months were treated extremely well with a number of them saying it was their best away trip ever. Also, did any Israelis at that game protest against any of Ireland's policies e.g. the opening of Shannon Airport to the US war planes on their way to bomb Iraq? Or maybe that has nothing to do with sport.
