Sligo Rovers, who dumped Premier Division Finn Harps out of the League Cup at the first round stage earlier this week, have been paired with holders Longford Town in the second round of the competition, which takes place later this month.
The Bit O’Red advanced past north-west rivals Harps courtesy of a single goal from Bolivian striker Carlos Alvarez.
They will face a difficult test against undisputed Cup kings Longford, who won both the League Cup and FAI Cup crowns in 2004.
