I just realised that Limerick are playing Athlone next Friday and that it is Athlone's first match since the death of Shane Brennan. I thought it would be a good idea if the supporters club could do something to show their support to Athlone, its supporters and the family of Shane Brennan. I am unable to think of anything, but I think it would be nice if we could do something all the same.

You're right. How about a book of condolence at the SC table on the way in? Any other ideas?

I think a book of condolence is a very good idea and a simple way to express our sympathy to those involved. I'm in favour of the idea LFCIE.

Class blokes above. As a Town fanatic, sincere appreciation for your kind thoughts.
Hope both clubs go up.

Sorry John for getting you more work. I'd be happy to do it but if I make it this Friday I'll be lucky to get there for kick-off. Maybe someone else could volunteer to do along with the Sc - the committee don't have to do everything.

Shane Brennan, or 'Mousey' as he was known, was a member of the Longford Town U21 team that won the Enda McGuill Cup. He subsequently played for Monaghan Utd and Athlone Town and also the Irish Colleges Team.

Abbeyvale - u were obviously relying on Error-tel. They had it as 0-0 and even updated teh league table with that result. Idiots. I have given up on it and now arrange for someone at the match to give me a call if I can't make it myself.
