DAMIEN DUFF HAS BEEN DECLARED FIT for Ireland’s World Cup qualifying matches against Israel in Dublin on June 4 and away to the Faeroe Isles on June 8. He missed Chelsea’s last six games of the season with a hamstring injury but played for 78 minutes in the 1-0 win against Suwon Bluewings in a friendly in South Korea on Friday night. “He had no problems,” José Mourinho, the Chelsea manager, said. “I took him out just to protect him because I know how focused he is on playing for his national team.”
Nice move by Mourinho, great manager.
