In fairness, I think the Declan Rice thread (now moved to World Soccer) had puns, and you can imagine the Troy Parrott one will too. Richie Towell too maybe. So just moving the Sammo thread won't really address the issue.

I agree but Tets asked for a poll with the options outlined in this post (https://foot.ie/threads/253457-Puns?p=2031028&viewfull=1#post2031028). So I suppose we'll just run with it and hope that particular suggestion doesn't 'win'? :)

Is that okay? I takie it Tets isn't actually running the poll. Do you mind doing it, John83, with your new permissions on the Ireland forum?
Dahamsta seemed to indicated he'd make a call. If he wants a poll, I'm happy to set it up. It'd make no difference really if Tets doesn't set it up - he'd have the same permissions either way if it's in the Ireland forum, which it probably has to be. I wouldn't question his honesty anyway. Well, unless 7 gets 10000 votes or something. :)

I wasn't questioning his honestly either, just to be clear, only referencing the fact that he gave the instruction to create the poll (as opposed to doing it himself, which is fair enough!).

The poll should go in Ireland, John83 will you deal please? I don't see the point of the single-thread options, they won't solve anything and having a separate mod for a single thread isn't possible / sensible.

So something like the below, but leave it another couple of day first so people can review (and complain about this decision :)).



Pun limit per page / thread.
Remove rule, revisit later.
Temporary pun limits as needed.
3 day rule.
1 day rule.
