Duffer is returning to the scene of our exit to Spain in the last world cup.... so looking good that he'll be ready for Israel!

From BBC website:
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has named a strong side for Friday's end-of-season friendly against South Korean champions Suwon Bluewings.
Damien Duff, Petr Cech, Claude Makelele and Joe Cole will all face the Korean and Asian champions near Seoul.

This trip to Suwon just shows that Abramovich still cares about income and is not just willing to spend for the craic. Also, Chelsea's fan base has increased by 300% since Abramovich took over.

Not suprised by that stat - every second person in work has a chelsea jersey on

Heatons had a very good deal on them earlier in the year

Looks like he got through it without any problems, anyway:

He was subbed after 77 mins. Hopefully just for a rest.

Hopefully he'll be match fit for the Israel game. With the suspensions we have, he's going to be even more important than usual.

I was at the game on friday night, it was all I could do to stay awake for the whole game. The cheerleaders at halftime were class though :D

Chelsea didn't want to be there at all and Suwon were just going through the motions as they are in the middle of their AFC Champions League campaign as well as the K-League.

Duff looked fairly comfortable throughout the game, although he didn't really extend himself too much. He didn't take on the defenders once and was quite happy to pass the ball back in to midfield instead. He got a few good crosses into the box but with Joe Cole playing as a lone striker they were a bit of a waste.

Still it was good to see Duffer getting a game before the qualifiers. Lets hope it will stand him in good stead.

Duff missed the chelsea victory parade and party yesterday cos he had problems with his passport in korea. apparently he only got home last night.

good to hear he played 75 minutes without any reaction
