The Bit O'Red Supporters Trust will be presenting Conor O'Grady with the Player of the Month award for April at the Dublin City game. This is the first award from the trust, who took supporters votes at a previous home game against Monaghan United.

Each monthly winner will be nominated for Player of the Season, which will be presented after the seasons conclusion.

Voting for the May player of the month will commence shortly, so look out for those voting slips at one of the next home games.

Gary, just a thought.
A way of making a little bit of money for the cause would be to announce the player of the month on match night in a sort of after-match get together in Mooneys over the road from the showgrounds. This way supporters can be present at the announcement and also the players (also a way of players getting the opportunity to meet supporters). To make money a raffle can be held for an autographed ball or something similar. An hour after the game would cover it and the presentation to the player can then be done at the next home game.

Good suggestion. This is something that can be looked at alright. And after a while even tie in with some sort of promotion for trust members, once set up maybe.

As always ideas are welcomed, and if anyone out there wants to get involved in the trust, then do come forward and get involved. I'm sure there are lots of people out there willing to get involved and an hour a week is only a small amount of time.

P.S
A picture of the trophy being presented can be found at www.thebitored.org. Not a perfect picture but gives an idea of what the trophy is like.
cheers
