The Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision to Dublin City at Whitehall Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, this afternoon.
Freshman forward Peter Cummings [Ennis, Texas] beat the Dublin City keeper after sophomore Dusty Brevosky [The Colony, Texas] served him a through-ball for the Tigers' lone goal.
Memphis coach Richie Grant was more than pleased with his team's play through the first two days of competition. "Today's game was very even and I'm excited about the level of competition we are facing here," said Grant. "Our players have responded very well. The freshmen got plenty of minutes today and were impressive, the players are really learning a lot."
The Tigers have the day off tomorrow and will be heading to Crow Parks National Stadium to take in the Gaelic Futbal Semi-Finals and will resume play on August 20 against the Bohemians at 7:30 p.m. at AUL in Dublin, Ireland.
