Seen the new Ireland away kit in a sports store in London today. But wheres the publicity for it, didnt even know there was one out! Not even on the FAI website. Has it gone out yet in Ireland? Too much like the England jersey for anyone who hasnt seen it....

Ya, never heard anything about it coming out but I found it on this site (http://www.subsidesports.com/uk/store/product_details.jsp?pid=72057594037939727&cid=33&brc=&red=product_list.jsp?id=33,)
Anywhere else there would have been a big publicity drive to sell it but the FAI don't even bother telling anyone its available...

aye, it is too white if you know what I mean, needs some more colour about it
its not the best of shirts is it?
Funny how much fuss is made by umbro and the english FA about their shirt launches. Would still be nice to have the option on the orange blob too.

Yeah I think it's nice as well.
Look on the bright side, it's not black or illuminous orange.

Think I saw it in Plaza Sports or Soccer Scene on Oxford Street, shocked at the lack of publicity!

One of our better shirts imo. Anyone seen it around Dublin?
Not overly great but I bought it anyway.
Got it, long sleeve of course, for 45euro in Lifestyle in Cavan of all places!
Didnt even know it was out but I was visiting the girlfriend and she lives
across the road from the shop and I just caught it in the corner of my eye
while passing by.
On the phone to the lads straight away, ended up having to buy 5 :p

Is it me or is the eircom logo getting bigger and bigger. Ridiculous. Other than that I like it.

Seems to be, at least the Opel logo wasnt as noticable. Now all of our shirts have a huge orange blob on them.

For a second there I thought you said €32. I was going to have a fit considering I bought it this afternoon for €50. By the way that's the price in Champion Sports, a lot of other places were charging €55.

I didnt think it was going to be that much, not in sports soccer - They usually do all the umbro stuff real cheap. Ah well, still like it, will invest on payday. :)

I saw the shorts in town but they only had them in kids sizes.
They're well nice though.

Hell no ...our shirts are too often ruined by un-neccessary fannying around with logos motifs and colours. Still would rather we had less navy and more orange.
Would like to see them give the orange shirt another try too -no fluorescence for the wahs mind -they've copped on that it makes it easier for the cops to see them climbing someones wall anyway so that market has dried up.
Btw is it just me or is that ****ing eircom logo bigger than ever? A disgrace it is.

It is a disgrace and it's disgusting looking.
Really cheapens the look of the shirt but the price seems to go up!
I think the FAI should seek a compromise from eircom.
Put a smaller logo on the sleeve or the collar but not the front.
I think the shirt looks class with number on the front but corporate greed denies us that choice.

Why should they when everyone goes out and buys them anyway? Not for me though, havent bought an "official" replica in years because of the Eircom logo.

Worls Cup USA '94, white shirt was good, with vertical stripes, good for andy reid, vertical stripes have a slimming effect ;) Modern version of that would be nice. Anyway, I hate seeing Ireland play in white, we hardly ever win when we wear white :o
 NO WAY!!
Agree with you there Lionel, scary indeed....

Edwin Van Der Sar and the ball bouncin' 'round the back of his net last summer beg to differ with you on that KT ... likewise NI in Belfast 94. ;)

It's a class jersey on, bought the long sleeve. Will be a nightmare to keep clean though, especially when in a group of Guinness drinkers :D
I don't know about ye, but the eircom logo on my jersey is the same size as it is on the home jersey. It's actually smaller than the logo on the last away jersey.

the eircom logo doesnt look too bad on the white away jersey and goalie jersey, atleast its orange and not blue and red!!!!

Great shirt!
I'll surely buy it when I'm there on August to watch us play against italy! :p ;)
Maybe orange could be better than that dark blue or black, you know I'd have prefer it.. But black maybe it's a reprise from our logo
Anyway, really a great jersey! :)

no ...different game. We went back there 12 months later in the Euro 96 qualifiers and stuffed four past them without reply despite the fact we played poorly for much of the game.
The away strip then was quite nice actually. It was white with green up one side and orange up the other and I'm sure it went down a treat at windsor.
To be fair to our northern cousins -the rot had truly set in with their squad which was then decimated by injuries and which was managed by Brian Hamilton -who while being a nice guy has managed to get relegated four times I believe at club level and who got the job for purely sentimental reasons IMO.
They played Paul Kee -a coalman form Ards in goals.
The joke still goes that after the match he sat down in the dressing room and went to put his head in his hands and missed. :D

Fair shout...your right it was the back end of 94....November 11th in fact! Wasn't too keen on that shirt myself but we did indeed hammer them in it..
