Tolka was picke dot host the fianl as its probably the best stadium in the country at the moment. Dalymount is the only other option but how many seats does that have?

ehh... between 7500-8000, more than enough for a game like this.

Its a total joke that Setanta are giving Shels home advantage, it really belittles the whole competition.

The issue with Dollymount isn't the seats it's the state of the pitch, though I understand that has improved recently.

$hel$ vs Linfield in the final, the blues are 3-0 up at half time against glens. Who the best of two evils is in this case I really do not know.

Why is it everytime Cork lose, on here it reads, Cork where robbed, cheated, only team to try "play". While the team that beat them where, thugs, cheats, hoofers ?? And not forgetting the Ref, who's always a cheat I know life just isn't fair.

D2. You clearly are incapable of discussing this without your righteous anger getting the better of you and resorting to personal insult and abuse. If you want to roar a few choice ones at me from the lego stand, I can't really object: that's football and you'll get yours back in spades, because we bring more to Tolka than you do. Sticks and stones.
But I don't think it is acceptable for a forum where we're supposed to be having reasoned debate. I seem to recall you having problems in the emotional incontinence department before.
For the record, I don't consider it ****-stirring to point out the unfairness of the venue of what is now being described as the 'All-Ireland'. This was an issue which was raised on national radio this morning.
If you have any serious arguments on this or other matters relevant to this thread or board, I and I'm sure others would be interested to hear them, provided you can do it without having a tantrum each time.

I take it the venue was decided a long time ago ? So I take it all the arrangements where made with several meetings between the people that run match day at Tolka, the Garda, the FAI, the IFA, Security. Then theres Setanta who will bring a decent amount of cameras to the game. All in all a fair amount of effort probably went into the planning of the Final.

Do people seriously think you can up stick and move an event and rearrange plans just 5 days prior to the event ?

It was either Tolka or a deserted Lansdowne which would look terrible if they wanted to have it in the south, or Windsor if they wanted it up north which would have the same problem and will have the same problem when they do there next year. Dollymounts pitch was, last time I saw it, an embarassment otherwise it could have been used.

whats that meant to mean? Dolan was/is popular- I know that

i meant what you've been saying since he was sacked. i mean for gods sake, he meets up for a chat with someone who was his manager for years, and you think thats a reason for dolin to "**** off"

so you come on here mouthing off, and you didn't know what was going on- typical
what the **** is that suppose to mean? i saw no protest; i just read early that a few people were giving lennox abuse outside the horseshoe. i dont pass the horseshoe on my way out, and from what ive read about the protest, the worst thing about it was there was some personal abuse to saint brian. besides, i doubt that that protest was televised, was it?

Doubt it had anything to do with the state of the pitch. I think its more the fact that Tolka is seen as the best stadium in Ireland at present, with Turners Cross 2nd, with 3rd maybe Dayler. Its a showcase final with what will probably be a large TV audience. Not point having some 3rd rate ground when you can get something thats probably the best

When have I ever said he wasn't popular? That's the accusation you made. And yes, I do think Dolan should keep out of ANYTHING to do with CCFC at the moment, at the very least he's an unsettling influence.

What I mean was you came on and said
nobody was chanting against rico or for dolan. in response to a shels fan's comments, but you were wrong- utterly wrong.
