Given that the Blues play home matches on Thursdays,Fridays(evenings),Saturdays(afternoons & evenings) & Sundays(afternoons),which of these days brings-in the biggest gates? What are the reasons for the change in match-day & time?Do the evening matches see larger crowds?Has the switch to summer footy benefitted the club? This could be a question asked of any League of Ireland fan/club!

Limerick play their home games on Friday nights at 7.45pm. Thats constant and hasn't changed. We've never played home games on any other night bar the Tuesday game early on when a there was full midweek programme. Dundalk play on Thursdays, Monaghan vary theirs, Kildare on a Saturday along with Sligo, Galway on a Friday night, Kilkenny on a Saturday, Cobh on a Saturday, Dublin City whenever they can get a vacant ground...........Athlone on a Friday.

Sorry for the mistake!I could have sworn that Lims had played home matches on different days & at different times!Perhaps in the past?Anyway, back to the point of the thread,do Friday night matches see higher attendances than Saturday afternoon matches?Has the switch to summertime football increased attendances in general?

On a related topic can anybody explain why Dundalk play on Thursday nights?

I personally believe they just do it to be awkward and benefit occasionally when opposition players can't get off work.

I'd like to see all the other clubs in the first division change their two home games with Dundalk to Thursday nights for a while and see how they like it.

Ok... rant over... :o

I note that the match that gives me the best chance of seeing the Blues in action,Dublin City away,is scheduled to take place on June 23,a Thursday evening!Where do they play their home matches?

Or it could be that Thursdays are the only nights the security cordon is lifted from around Dundalk so other teams and fans can only get in then... :D

Will you lot be there?

I'd like to think so. Though Thursdays being Thursdays that'll depend on how well I'm getting on with my boss at the time.

As far as I know this game has been changed. It's now on at Richmond Park on Sunday June 26th at 3pm.

Richmond Park is in Inchicore. Near Heuston Railway Station - from there head out of town and then left towards Kilmainham Gaol. Once you get there ask around.

Cheers lads!A Sunday afternoon k.o. would be great & could be either included in a Dublin weekend(unrealistic at the moment),or maybe catch the 8.55 from Holyhead(slightly more realistic)!Heuston station!Conveniant for any of you that might be travelling by train!

Get a Luas from Heuston to Goldenbridge, Richmond's only a 5 minutes walk from there.
