Veteran former Irish international Curtis Fleming has been informed that he will not be offered a new deal by Coca-Cola League Two side Darlington.

Fleming spent the 2004/05 season at the north-east club after his departure from Crystal Palace last summer.

However, despite making 27 appearances for David Hodgson’s side, Fleming has suffered from the club’s failure to secure promotion from League Two.

Former Republic of Ireland under-21 international Keith Gilroy, who made just two appearances since joining the club in March, is another player to be released as the Darlo boss cut 10 players from his squad.

The third member of the Irish triumvirate at the Williamson Motors Stadium, Joe Kendrick, will be kept on at the club for next season at least.
