Forwards: Kailin Barlow (Sligo Rovers), Evan Ferguson (Bohemians), Robert Mahon (Bohemians), Sinclair Armstrong (Shamrock Rovers) Calum Kavanagh (Middlesbrough), Oliver O’Neill (Fulham)

Fixtures
Tuesday, November 12: Ireland v Andorra, Turner's Cross, Cork, KO 7.30pm
Friday, November 15: Ireland v Montenegro, Turner's Cross, Cork, KO 7.30pm
Monday, November 18: Ireland v Israel, Turner's Cross, Cork, KO 2pm

Squad named by Colin O'Brien for the 3 Euro qualifiers in Cork: Andorra (Nov 12), Montenegro (Nov 15), Israel (Nov 18). You would have to fancy their chances. Looking over things, that lad from Wolfsburg with the superb name is in (his name will get him places if nothing else), as is Graham Kavanagh's son who I have heard is special, and also Evan Ferguson. Any other standouts worth monitoring, Liamoo & co??

Delighted to see ollie o neill in there was excellent in victory shield in Kerry last November. The crystal palace lad is new.

Funny group in that Barry at Barca and egan riley at man city were involved lots with this side at 15s and 16s but seems are with England now so maybe that has held back some other lads progress .

Surprised harkin at wolves not in he has been involved for wolves at 18s this season. Also does this mean gilsenan at Blackburn sees Australia as his first choice? Disappointing that rory delap son from man city has not switched just seems wrong!

I thought that group were a bit lacking in midfield guile last season but that McCormack looked a player

Liam Delap is a great young footballer. Saw a Man City U18 game a month or two ago and he was clearly the best player on the pitch. Louie Barry is probably even better. Saw him play for the 16s and he was easily a cut above the rest.

Surprised Ethan Varian of Stoke isn’t part of the squad. Think he’s 2003. Saw one Stoke U18 game and he impressed.

I think varian is a 2001 so hopefully will be in our 19s

Would I be correct in my understanding that this squad is made up of players born 2002 and up?

3-1 up with less than 10 minutes left. Looks like they'll qualify with a game to spare. Pretty handy group, nonetheless a very good job...

Meanwhile Andorra who we beat 6-0, beat Israel 1-0. Means they're a draw away from qualifying. Football is mad...

Wolfburg’s finest, Anselmo Garcia McNulty adds a second, 2-0 approaching HT

Andorra are currently drawing with Montenegro. If things stay as they are, they'll qualify for the Elite round!

Slovakia, Scotland, and Czech Republic, ties to be played in Scotland in March.
Not a bad draw. Group winners qualify automatically, and the seven best runners up, out of eight groups, will join them in the finals in Estonia.

Must be gutting for the players after playing so well in the qualifying stage
