GALWAY ROCKS best town in the country for an over nighter. looking forward to it a lot, being there a few times this year with work, great crack and nice people. you should allow 3 1/2 hours on a friday if travelling by car, good nite life in the centre and not too far from terryland

I'm sure that you will enjoy your stay in Galway. Complimentary food will be served in Kates Bar after the game. Win, lose or draw, we won't attack your buses with stones like sligomans friends two years ago.

I would advise Sligo supporters to concentrate on their game against Malahide. The last time they played a mickey mouse pub team from Dublin at home in the FAI Cup, they were humiliated. Well done, Bluebell. :D

I hope that the Bluebell bus wasn't attacked by locals with stones, or indeed members of the local ethnic community on motorbikes with guns.

Again, I look forward to the visit of Cork City and their supporters. Apologies for referring to our "massive" neighbours, but we can't slag them off on other fora because they are "sensitive". Poor dears.

Any possibility that TG4 might pick this as one of their live games for the year?

With Galway being the closest team to their HQ and City being a relatively big draw.

Patrick Dunne

Would have thought that this would be a strong possibility.

Thought the HQ was Waherfort ??
The admin etc. is Galway but the camera crew are from Waherfort.

I could be wrong though, i have been known to be wrong on one or two occasions in the past. Although there is a very slim chance of this happening, it still should not be overlooked !! ;)

Would have thought you'd be delighted that they won't be getting a big gate receipt! ;)

We played the likes of Monaghan, Kilkenny, Cobh, Limerick etc. last season - well used to it by now; crowd'll be an average last season crowd really.

it was answered in another thread a rew weeks ago but......
Nemeton from Waterford are the crowd who have the cameras at the games.
tg4 buys the "product" from Nemeton and shows it on their screens.

Where are people planning on staying in Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllweeeeeeeey?

Jurys Inn (http://www.jurysdoyle.com/index.php?hotel_pid=20016) is €125 per room but if you had 3 sharing, you'd be sorted.
There should be plenty B&B's.
At least it's not the holiday weekend anyway.
Is anyone planning on staying for the Saturday as well?

It's going to be some week for me.
Israel on the Saturday, Faroe Islands on the Wednesday and then City on the Friday.

They are practicing evacuation techniques already.. Digging bunkers and putting up 'anti-cork' shelters for the poor young innocent Galway Girls in preparation for your arrival....

They have to be protected, they would not be used to your wild men..
A local health warning has already been issued and every household is being supplied with a special pack to protect us from the invasion...
Like the iodine tablets we all got from the government a while ago.. but they contain extra strong mints and sweet smelling perfumes everything that will repel the rough Cork bunch
:D

Poor Peadar is my best client...
He has to come all the way from Reading cause no one else would have him, I had to take pity on the sorry sight...

I do feel sorry taking money from no hopers like him, but sure the only way they are going to see girls dance for then is to pay them I'd rather the money in my pocket... ;)
