Also, for United's Irish fans on here, you should check out the James Nesbitt thread in the main forum. Seems there's a strong anti-Irish sentiment shared by the scum that follow this shower. Nice.......... ;)

Those guys are halarious. Not much football discussion going on there.
I hope Liverpool win the CL final just to p**s that shower on there off.

Walked into a Man U Irish Supporters Meeting last night (I was asked to take something out of the room for another thing on in the same building - long boring work related story). I suggested that it was refreshing to see so many Man U fans had been cheering Liverpool on last Wednesday - I was not invited to come back to the AGM :D
Shurely shome mishtake! Isn't this the Catholic club of England founded by an Italian priest called O'Macaroni? The club that robbed Irish clubs of their young players without handing over any transfer fees, sorry, gave Irish footballers so many great opportunities. 4tothe floor: You should be f*cking ashamed of yourself. :( :(
How ironic that Nesbitt probably sees himself as a citizen (oops, sorry, subject) of the same country (well perhaps not my compadre Spanish Fly Guy) as these w*nkers.
As for Redneck's Issue? It's always been an anti-Irish (and anti-Scottish) pile of mierda.

Oh the irony gets even better. Take away Alex Ferguson and Roy Keane (Scottish and Irish respectively, for our younger bandwagon jumpers, sorry, Man U fans) and United would have amounted to very little over the last decade. Although, it probably wouldn't stop them self-proclaiming to be the 'biggest club in the world', even though they haven't won any of the big trophies to compliment this claim. Quite sad really when a League 1 club have won the same amount of European Cups as the great Man U :p
Man U fans everywhere better just pray that Liverpool don't win a 5th European Cup, cos if they do there will just be no let down :D

Seen a few of these red issue fanzines and they are cojones. You might remember the issue that got into the Irish post with the send up of the Irish team when Steve Bruce looked into trying for the Ireland team.
I can't say i've anything against Man U but this fanzine and the people that write in it are a right bunch of w**ks and any time i've seen it they've shown to us that they don't seem by the looks of things to have much value for their Irish support.
I look forward to reading the letter's pages in it after their friendly on August the 3rd and how they didn't like the away fans party songs ;) :D and how loads of them got lifted when they complained to mr Pole ecce man even though they have no prob's with songs slagging off Bill Shankly or laughing at the Hillsborough disaster in that rag.

Bit of a sweeping statement that Farbeag.I lived over in London for 18 years and not once did I have any problems or discrimination from the English, infact, the only problems I had were from Irish people,as far as I can see the Irish get a far better deal than our Asian or Coloured friends.

I'm a United fan and to be honest the only Liverpool player I'd have at OT would be Carragher on his current form and maybe Morientes.
I hope you win though, my brother and a lot of my friends are liverpool fans, i remember well what it's like to go long periods without winning anyhting worth talking about. I'd sooner see smiles on faces of people I get on with than wish luck to an AC Milan team I have absolutely no interest in.

Why would you be taking Benitez or Gerrard away? Find me a Liverpool fanzine that is anti-spanish and anti-scouse :p and then maybe i'll listen to your arguement. Somehow, I don't think you'll find one.........You're also talking about Liverpool about to 'crash and burn'? So getting to a European Cup final, and possibly winning it, is going to be the prequel to a monumentous slide in fortunes? Put this man in charge of Shamrock Rovers quick :D

I think it's safe to say that Liverpool fans can sleep easy on this. United will not win another title for quite a while again. They are an ageing team coming to the end of their era, and the youngsters brought in to repalce them are sh1t. All we need now is for Fergie to sign a 5 year contract, or better still, give the job to Carlos Queiroz or Martin O'Neill. Happy Days :)

And what has this got to do with the original topic of this thread? Absolutely nothing. I got that link in an e-mail from a friend in Liverpool. Everybody over there is laughing at United because of it. I don't 'trawl' the web. My hatred of United, their PLC and their plastic supporters comes from deep within my friend. From deep within does it, well your thread seemd to have only one point and that is to try to paint all United fans as some kind of anti-Irish/anti-liverpool bigots, My point is that Liverpool fans can't claim to have a pure fan base either, In any support group that numbers in the Millions your going to have a lot of people who are bad eggs, I don't even like all the United fans in Sligo, Some I wouldn't give the time of day too, where as I have some great mates who happen to be Liverpool or Arsenal fans.
I recommend conselling because if you base your opinions of people on what team they support the you have got serious issues, and I don't mean to be personal but your the one saying your hate of Man United comes from deep within, Its a football club ffs, not a matter of life and death!

Well I'll tell you something, it was probably the most blatant episode I'd seen at a major English club game in many a year. In that bad old days of the 1970s and 80s scenes like that were frequent but a quarter of a century later it was an unplesant suprise. It wasn’t just one or two, sadly there were a significant number of fans doing it. Over the past few years ive been to many games in England wearing an Ireland top (including one last weekend) and never heard any anti-Irish abuse. At the vast majority of the games ive been to there has been at least one Irishman on the field or bench etc, and again there has been no anti-Irish chants. Similarly when watching games on live TV involving Irish players (eg Sunderland, Wigan to name recent examples) ive not heard anything similar.
In my opinion what they were chanting and doing was close to crossing the line of racial abuse. Their chants were clearly audible and it certainly didn’t cast your club in a good light. I accept that there are many Man Utd fans who are decent people (and conversely there are sections of other teams fans who have bad attitudes too), but on that nights evidence there seemed to be a major anti-Irish problem.

:D You have the logic of a 4 year old, or a blonde bimbo. So pay attention and I'll explain this complicated procedure.....
Step 1: Whoever wins the European Cup 5 times, or 3 times in a row, gets to keep the cup that they win on completing this achievement. Therefore, if Liverpool win in Istanbul, they will keep the European cup presented to them on the night.
Step 2: Now this is the important bit! When a club gets to keep the European Cup, A NEW EUROPEAN CUP IS COMMISSIONED. Imagine that!!! Crazy isn't it?! So, to spell it out for you, Real Madrid and AC Milan have both achieved this already, therefore this is the third European Cup on offer to clubs as Real and Milan have kept the first and second respectively.
So Liverpool fans are, perhaps, the most knowledgable fans in the world, while you have just shown up United fans to be amongst the most stupid :D
Armando
16/05/2005, 12:51 PM
It would actually be the 5th trophy commissioned if Liverpool win - Real Madrid, AC Milan (both 5 times), Ajax and Bayern Munich (both 3 in a row in the 70's).
This info is provided by a knowledgable Utd fan. ;)
