Lads,

We've a bet here at work on this.

You know the way the ref adds on 30 seconds for a substitution, what happens if a double substitution is made. Does the ref add on 1 minute or 30 seconds (cant find the answer on the eufa or fifa website!!!

30 secs per sub , im not sure if they add an extra 30 secs if a sub is made after 90 mins , ( as in 3 mins is shown on the board but the sub is made at 92 mins should 4 mins be added?? )

this is a common myth and urban legend - the referee is not obliged to add on any time for substitutions under the laws of the game. It is assumed as common practise that 30 seconds are added on per substitution but this is not a law or a requirement but something that Sky would make you believe is gospel. 'ALL' extra or added time is completely at the discretion of the referree i.e. he can add 3 minutes on if he wants for someone who takes 3 minutes to leave the field or any amount of time for what he percieves as wasting of time throughout the game

so in the case of a double substituion it will be the amount of time that the referee feels is used up in making the substituion. If we use the sky methodology and assume they left straight away then it would be 30 seconds but as I've pointed out above that's not set in stone in the Laws of the Game so ineffect it depends on each situation.
