More seriously (though I can only applaud once more the razor sharp with of Lim til i die) with McGauley signing I think Buckley is less likely to be snapped up right now. We've got a huge squad collecting wages at the moment after all and from what I've heard we're at the limits of our wage budget at the minute.

Agreed but at the same time i'm sure we can all think of five or six who will be on their way out the door sooner rather than later

Only if they're willing to go without a payoff I'd say...

Oh God do we really have to pay some of the deadwood off. I always assumed with certain players it was a sort of short term contract arrangement

Just wondering who in ye're opinion is likely to be offloaded sooner rather than later. There's quite a few who haven't even played a game yet.
Maybe some of the players who have played as well ???

O'Brien was adequate last night. He worked harder than he has all season and made the first goal. That said, aside from that he still offered no threat really. If last night was his worst performance of the season, as opposed to his best by a country mile, I'd praise him. As it is last night was a small step in the right direction and I wouldn't applaud him overmuch for it. It's should be the bare minimum we expect from him. I still don't think he should start personally.

Think you'll find he'll be credited with the first goal. Although Robbies shot was on target, it was the deflection that prevented the defender from cleaaring it off the line. That said, his work-rate last night was pleasing, and it was his best game of the season to date.
What a third goal....absolute cracker....

Yeah, one debated goal that went in off his ass with him lying prone on the ground in nine games, I take it all back, he really is the Ronaldo of West Cork...
However, I'll give him credit for working harder. Long may it continue.

Well give it another few games and maybe you'll be able to gloat! I certainly hope you get to anyway! :)
And on a more trivial note your next post will be rather a milestone and accordingly I feel it should be directed at me! :D

I hadn't noticed - post number 1,000. Wow, I waste a lot of time on this thing don't I?
I'd just like to thank all my fans, where would I be without you. My family of course - whom I have to thank for the blessing of being a Limerick man.
And this post is dedicated to SLK. After all about 80% of my posts are attempts to educate him about football.
