Ah Jesus I'm sorry about that Kenny I'll put my hands up and say I read it wrong.
I'd agree that he's past his best but the level he's at now is still better than most.
I also thought the part where you said you were surprised the manager signed him was in reference to him being past it.
I saw the interview with the AA manager and I 1000% agree with you, it was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the news this morning. After moaning in an interview only to do a massive 180° only days later is laughable.
My reference to Nunan was only due to him being the third top scorer last season.
In hindsight I fully agree with your post.

Didn't make a game today unfortunately.
Pike Rovers 4-1 Coonagh United
Ballynanty Rovers 1-0 Prospect Priory
Geraldines 1-4 Regional United
Nenagh 0-3 Fairview Rangers
Janesboro 2-0 Mungret Regional
Kilmallock United 2-5 Aisling Annacotty

Cheers Kenny. I see that, former Glin Rovers man Paul Sheahan has hit the ground running for Regional United with another two today against the Dines.

Regional off to a very good start after losing so many players, Fairview back to winning ways but I think pike will be too strong when the they add the limerick lads

One particular Limerick player who planned on going back to Junior for the off-season is unlikely to kick a ball for a good while after the events of Saturday night's game.

I'm hearing that the steward might have taken a bit of a dive but that's not the point, still shouldn't be placing your hands on a steward.

I witnessed the same guy do something similar whilst playing gah a few years back. Unfortunately his temperament lets him down.

I'd agree that Fairview edged it, although Pike probably should've grabbed a goal in first half. Super strike from Judge in the second half, Pike never looked like scoring and managed to pull a great goal out of nowhere. Thought that Pike might push on after Fairview were reduced to ten but didn't, would probably agree that it was 2 points dropped for the view. Not to single anyone out but Borris has been great the two times I've seen him this season.

Pat Sheehan's round-ups on the Limerick Leader website have the teams always, dead handy:
Fairview Rgs: Aaron Savage; Jamie Enright; Dermot Fitzgerald; Paul Danaher; Mark Slattery; Darragh Rainsford; Jeffery Judge; AJ O'Connor; James Fitzgerald; John Mullane; Ross Mann. Subs: Adam Frahill; Eddie Byrnes

Thanks shearer , I do think pike will get stronger when the league of Ireland season is over, view will lose rainsford in November and not many players of that caliber can be replaced. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the boro.

What does that mean
It means that clubs are making a mockery of Junior football. It is mentioned that players will sign for a Junior club in the off season from LOI football because clubs have the resources to sign them.
Shooting fish in barrels. If you have these resources to hand step up a grade, test yourself.
Edit: May be a moot point when leagues go to summer soccer and are running concurrently with LOI.

You're from Newmarket Celtic, a club that has monopolised Clare.

And before Shearer mentions Newmarket Celtic not one person involved with Newmarket receives anything for representing the club. Hasn't and never will.
We have attracted players because of the way things are done and a collective desire to win an a title outside of Clare.

Regardless of whether players are or aren't paid, the Clare League is clearly beneath the club's level and is a hindrance seeing as Newmarket have never won anything outside of it.
Surely that is incentive enough to go Intermediate or move to a more competitive league.
He will get a lengthy ban
Got off very lightly with four games.

There probably is an argument for intermediate football or a north Munster senior league or whatever. The bottom line for most of those ‘big’ clubs however is probably the FAI Junior Cup and a change to their junior status would stop them competing for it. Am I correct in that? If that’s the case then forget about any club moving on/up. Money or no money, this is modern football, take it or leave it.

You're not wrong, but I think a lot of it is down to the fact that It's only played by clubs from the Munster Senior (Cork), Leinster Senior (Greater Dublin), and the few clubs left in the Ulster Senior League (genuinely about 7).
Involve more clubs from different places and more people will care.

O'Hanlon is still there.
I haven't seen the Boro since the first day, but I thought that O'Hanlon, Ryan and Sugrue (who I'm not sure is actually on the management team or not) in the dugout that night was a case of too many cooks.

Prospect left with no manager, boro look like they will free fall. Braddish and Daithi have a good history there but it will be tough to change it around

Sugrue seems to be a decent coach. But may not want the hassle of managing the juniors just yet.
All about trying to get stability in the boro I think at this stage. League is gone. They can forget about the fai and Munster junior.
Are they the Oscar traynor team for the ldl this year ?
Kennycon
18/09/2019, 11:09 AM
Martin sugrue needs more experience but in time might step up to that level, very good boro man as well. I would not be surprised if the new manager brought him in

18/09/2019, 12:34 PM
Dont think Derek Braddish is gone back.
Would the league have a weakened Boro team represent them this year.
Sugrue has pulled out of managing the youths this year by all accounts.

Fairkop
18/09/2019, 8:46 PM
So KC,..the Oscar... Traynor...is a pub competition and as you have previously posted the Junior Cup is finished, all you need to do now is denegrate the Mjc and the league to complete a clean sweep ,lets face it both those competitions have plenty ammunition for you to do so.
Treaty Gooner
18/09/2019, 9:31 PM
He’s got a point in fairness, between the objections last year in the FAI and the way teams are approaching the Oscar Traynor it probably is gone ridiculous. A change of format in the latter and a tightening up or more transparency at least of the rules in the former and they could get a new lease of life.
