Any recommendations for a fella into dance music.None of that cheesy crap though.Ill throw down a few myself.

1.Tiesto-Just be (Tracks like Nyana,Obsession,Just be and a mix of Adagio for strings are highlights)
2.Euphoria Trancedental (Savage Album-Opening song on the second Cd is Tirra Firma is a real uplifter and captures the mood of the rest of the Album.
3.Gigi D'agostino-Lamour Toujours-Used to have the single. The version on that is the best of them all."I still believe in yours eyes".What can i say that song bring vback so many memories.A real get you up 4 a nightout song if i ever heard one.
4.Ron Van Den Bueken-timeless(Single)
5.Ralph Fridge-Angel(Single)

!!! are good, o.u.t.h.u.d. aren't bad, a sort've dark, re-invented disco with i suppose a dash of the dancepunk. LCD Soundsystem do it for me these days for the aforementioned reasons as does M.I.A., whose looks are only topped by her music. very very good london bhangra/garage mash-uppy stuff. don't do the trance or straighter techno, sure if i wanted that i'd break out the orbital ;)

Sound ive been meaning to check out M.I.A.I see your taste is alot more progressed than mine.I saw Armin Van Bueren in the Redbox in feb.Suprised me how good he was as i was a little apprehensive going in.He steered clear of any of his commercial hits which was to be expected i suppose. What you make of the new Daft Punk stuff!Bit of a dissapointment after the masterpiece that is 'Discovery'

ah i only dabble in the dancey stuff i must say. hey you know i've never heard discovery but i loved homework.. what do you think, would i dig discovery then? someone mentioned avalanches on here, the oz duo (i think), you might like them? they're heavy on the samples but very inventive with them. there's a whinnying horse that neighs its way through the first two tracks of their album i have, strange how the SAME sample can take on a different colour when used in two different songs back-to-back...

some new beats out of eastern europe are getting a bit of press - one guy from the ukraine by way of france (Vitalic) sounds great.

M.I.A. is the business!!

Ya Discovery is by far the best of the 3 Albums to date.Have to say i liked 'Homework' with the standouts obviously being 'Around the work and 'Da Funk'.You get 'Discovery for about a tenner at the moment in Hmv.Def worth a buy.I wont name songs because there isnt a bad one on it.Probably one of the best albums ive bought in the last few years. From what ive heard of the new stuff its awful repetitive. Its reputed it only took them a day to make the album and you can see why.Steering clear of Dance for a min i have to recommend the new Bloc Party album and Razorlight.Wonder if this new oasis album will be good.Have all the albums and on the last few a few excellwent songs songs were overshadowed by alot of miserable ones.

have to say the 'sis seemed to have lost it after morning glory for me, i liked a few songs on be here now i think it was. cool thanks for the discovery rec., the woman likes them as well so maybe pick it up for her. pity about the new one though... maybe they been too busy with other production stuff and didn't really get it together. thing about them is, they were very minimal, half of homework is one big (but sparse) beat on the bottom with a few sonic changes on top. lotsa space which makes its own noise in a way. mate likes bloc party and he mentioned the band razorlight to me yesterday too - bloc party sound fun

p.s. you have orbital's 'in sides'?? it's amazing, you'd like it

"u mention no cheesy crap and then u mention gigi d'agostino"

You caught me out there in fairness.Ill make that song my one exception to the rule.Just brings back too many fond memories of my first year in college.
