Came back from playing football earlier and found that my Rosary had broken and a whole part including the Crucifix had fallen off and gone mssing. I got it from my uncle for my first Communion and always wear it round my neck. I went back to the rec and looked around my whole house but it's gone :(
What's worse is that my parents gave me a Crucifix on a chain for my Confirmation but that fell off from round my neck when i went to Cork city a couple of years back.
Feeling really crap :(

Sorry to hear Liam. I gather you're a pretty religious person so I can only say the beliefs they represent is what is more important to you at the end of the day than the objects.

Aye that's right....still feel bad about it but that is true :)
I also realise that a lot fo people in the world go through things millions of time s worse everyday that this would seem almost insignificant to them-am greatful for what I have; like I said-still feel bad but have perspective of it
Liam,
Things that are sacred or special to us are not easy to lose. It would be like me losing my wedding ring.
What about getting a special new one and getting your priest to bless it? It would be a way of recognising a continuity with the one you had lost.

It's just goes to show that things that have a special meaning to us are more valuable than a lot of things that cost a hell of a lot more. Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity. I thought for a second we had all turned into mad materialist obnoxious greedy *******s!
