Huge error by officials in Mount /Hall game tonite. Only Dan and Pat Murphy know why it was dissallowed. Enough said. Huge error by Brendan to put Hall 1 up. Buttsy levelled with scrappy goal. Gareth won it with a late pen after Alan O Connor was taken down.

This is directed at glenbuck...are you in agreement with your teams manager ringing other teams players asking them to sign in January while the season is in full swing and no other manager would do so?...a certain am poster asked me to ask for your opinion and he reckons it's a complete and utter disgraceAs promised I spoke to Alan and he confirmed what I have been saying on this forum for a long time. You are a sh.. stirrer with no interest in real football matters. This obsession with Rockmount is taking over your life. A kind of Fatal Attraction. Is it time to hide our bunny rabbits... ha ha

alot of talk here lately about how good the aul teams are and how they would cope in senior football!! leeside beaten by midleton junior team 2-1 in the fai 3rd round tonight! a midleton side in division 1a,that had to bring on 2 u17's as sub's not even a premier division side at that! and by all accounts midleton far superior in every area of the pitch! think some of the aul lads have to take a serious look at themselves, and if they still think that they can rate themselves alongside the top teams in msl they are having a laugh!

Looked a spotter anyway but I was on the far side!! Tempo to the game was quick from the start. Rockmount should have lead at half time. Hall went 1 up with an absolute clanger from Brendan dont know what he was up to. Long free kick which Ross won for buttsy to tap in. Then a free kick was awarded Douglas hall player kicked it buttsy intercepted it and walked it into the net. It was a bit like nani against spurs few years ago. Linesman disallowed tho. Alan o Connor went on a run and got brought down. Gareth was haunted with the spotter. I felt a draw would have been the fair result.

was a blatant spotter from where i was standing!

The league is starting to take shape already with a familiar look to the table. Alot will happen in december when the window opens again.. Do people think the hall are out of the league title now. losing 3 this early will be hard for them to come back even tho rockmount done it last year.. hall badly need a centre half and decky back to stand any chance.. dale look like they are getting better every week aswell. kev mul to come into that team along with declan cahill who in my opinion is the best centre back in the league. losing hoggy wont be as bad for the dale when decky is back as they are like for like.

Glenbuck where do you think mount have to strenghten up on. Be interesting to see who ye do sign in december as it could be crucial. Will be easier to attract players as ye are top of the league again.. Who would you want to sign playerwise.. I still think it will be between these 2 for the league.. Mayfield will challenge more this year than ever before but i think they will fall short. One thing i notice is that the gap is getting ever closer between the clubs in the msl.
Going to be an exciting season with clubs signing and losing players ,

if there was cork city involvement then i would be happy for games to be postponed though

Too be honest razor i enjoy watchin a Msl match a lot more than the League of Ireland! I know people will say the standard is a lot better at LOI but i feel the real reason we all like MSL is because we know players, management and ref's at a much more personal level than LOI. Plus the localised scandal gets around a lot quicker with men like chiefscout on the prowl...

MSL is more interesting to us because we know that refs make bigger mistakes than the top refs.Have you seen the referees in the League of Ireland First Division?

City won the First Division scoring 73 goals in 30 games and have played some wonderful football
OK some of the opposition wasn't the best but you can only beat what's put in front of you.
I don't think anythng bar the top level of MSL would even come near it for entertainment.
A great family Friday night out.

The main reason i'm as involved with City as I am is because it's my club, run by the fans for the fans.
Having said that, I'm not involved with any MSL club (despite what some think) and fair dues to those that are.

Personally I'll watch any game of ball. To be honest I wouldn't draw the curtains on the young fellas in the green across the road.

Chief whos going to be leaving the dale in the transfer window. Also i would like to say that I think John Ryan of midleton is a great manager. The players below in midleton should be ashamed of themselves if they want this man out of their club. He brought them back to the premier, kept them in the premier the following year and got them pretty far in the intermediate cup only to be beaten by crumlin who are a good side. John ryan was a hero below there up until this year. In my opinion the players are not working hard enough for the team with a few of them refusing to play. I think john is getting a raw deal. Ive no connection to midleton but know alot of players down there and i have said the exact same to these players. if he gets sacked i think its a disgrace.

Bad state of affairs when your junior team should be your senior team because players won't play for the manager.watch this space though...but do agree Ryan has been great for the club..........on the Avondale side of things, few of the squad players are to leave as to lack of playing time, shouldn't affect them but will boost few other teams

The problem with Midleton is they have a squad of 17 this season with two keepers included in that and they have 4 players out injured long term but there juniors is packed with ex seniors from last season who couldnt make the starting 11 and decided to step down this season but wont step up to senior when needed so the management has to top up the senior team with the youth team so here lies the problem. The junior team is acting like a separate identity to the rest of the club.

The reason why these players are Junior and the reason why other players play Senior Football instead of AUL is because of a few things 1. Attitude (thinking of themselves instead of the club, dont to battle for their position) 2. Dedication (won't commit themselves or sacrifice weekends etc.)

I would prefer to get relegated with Youths than to entertain spoilt Junior players with chips on their shoulders.

Well done John Ryan on your job to date, continue to grow the club as best you can.

Just regards the handball on the line hawk for blarneys second goal,
the ref pointed to the spot and flashed the red card at rockmount player and then proceeded to linesman who said the ball was behind the line and the goal was given,
it was my understanding that once you flash the red you cant just ignore the fact that you did??
maybe one for maninthemiddle?
