Bilko, J Meade, C Meade and Kenny.

!st goal Bilko made a world class save from a John Murphy free a cornor was the result which didnt beat the 1st man came back out to Garth Cambridge who wipped it straight back in, JP Sull came across it got a glancing header 1 nil to the saints. Both sides gad chances with both keepers making good saves. 2nd was a shot from 30 yards by garth from my look at it it seemed Bilko was alrready thinking where he was gonna thow it and let it spill through his raised hands. 2-0 at half time. "nd half Blarney turned the screw but to no avail missed a few chances and you could see it was not gonna be their night, 3rd was a back pass the the lighting quick Coker ran on to and finish well. headed off with 5 to go so missed the sending off.

On the top about ex Cobh players here is a few more who played for the Saints last night
Dave O Keeffe
John Murphy
Garth Cambdidge
Jonathan Coker

If you are not good enough you shouldn't be in the league. And the MSL Senior 2nd Div is hardly La Liga is it? No points in Feb and hammerings every week is not good enough when there are plenty of clubs who are of a much higher playing standard being left out. The MSL need to look at this situation for next year. Maybe put the CIT team into a junior division for a few years because the present situation is doing nobody any favours.

League seriously need to do something with CIT - both their teams are shocking. Their Junior side were beaten 5-0 today with the game called up after just 15 minutes.

CIT Seniors look like having zero points on Paddys Day. Those lads are playing in the wrong division for their ability and cannot be enjoying getting royal hammerings every week (10nil, 12-2, 7-0 and 7-1, all lately). The AUL's stronger sides would be a much better alternative.

CIT have good facilities (100% provided by the taxpayers remember), but surely quality teams like Leeside (Munster Junior Cup Winners 2008), Grattan (Aul winners 07+08) and Kinsale have to be better suited to senior soccer.

Any rockmount players looking for information on pike rovers!Clifford is the Rockmount representative on foot.ie.
The players themselves are far too focused on the job at hand to have time to surf the web.
I'm sure Billy will have his homework done on the Pike lads before next Thursday.

Mount were due to play Everton away on St Patricks Day, this has been postponed, I presume to give the lads more time to prepare for Pike.

Douglas Hall 2 Everton 1
'Hall took the lead midway through first half, Kevin Mulcahy burst through crossed for Stachan to knock in a tidy goal. The 'Hall were the better team, but it took until 20 minutes to go to get the second, Mulcahy fouled in the box and Joe McSorley converted the penalty. Everton got one back from another penalty, Minty scored after the ball was handled on the line.
Important 3 points for the 'Hall.

Rockmount 1 Ucc 0

Poor game it must be said Rockmount were there usual selves and the college were well orgainised and looked quite happy to settle for a draw and it seemed to be headin that way until the 92 nd min when sub Gary Leahy finished sublimly. A long ball in to the box was headed on my Kieran O Mahony Leahy flicked the ball over the defenders head and volled low in to the bottom corner.

St Marys got beat by Balllincollig , not 100% on the final score but i think 2-1

St Marys got beat by Balllincollig , not 100% on the final score but i think 2-1Correct, classic smash and grab, Marys had chance after chance and then when they did finally get level they went and conceded again within minutes.

St Marys 2-2 Blarney Utd this morning
Blarney were 2-0 up, Marys then missed a penalty.
Then Marys scored, had a player sent off.
But still managed to equalise with 10 men despite having their manager sent off yet again.
A very eventful morning and a point each.

Dont know him personally but according to the echo report last night it did not seem like a break but the ambulance took longer than a half hour to arrive so the ref had no choice but to abandon the game. Wish him a speedy recovery

I have been keeping a close eye on the MSL 1st Division for obvious reasons this year. But now that we are all but safe i can enjoy the league that much more.:)

Any predictions on who will get promoted or who will get relegated from this league? There is around 6 teams who can go down by my viewing. Anyone know if its one or two go to the 2nd division. I know 2 get promoted into our league and im assuming Mayfield will be one after seeing them play this year against rockmount. They look a decent team.

I would put my money on Ringmahon. Leeds are also in the hunt. All 3 have to play each other as far as I know so alot could change over the next few weeks

just reading some of your posts on the first division, tought id chip in as well!!
from what i have seen personally this season....i wud putmy money on mayfield and ringmahon to go up(despite that ringmahon have lost a few players since start of season!)
both teams have impressed me the most this season, dont believe leeds wud be gud enough to hold there own in the premier league!!!
And to do with the relegation battle, mallow luk safe now, between everyone else for the chop!!two teams go down and i think( and hope:rolleyes:) it will be corinthians and lakewood!!
lakewood on a terible run and it looks like continuing!!lost lots of players and havent recovered since....think corinthians dont have strong enough squad to get necessary results to stay up either!!
relegation battle will be an exciting one though!!

Saw a bit of Corinthians last week vs Carrigaline.

They looked a disorganised rabble and were well outplayed by Carrigaline who, I understand, only had a handful of regulars starting.

Typically enough, I suppose, they survived to get to penalties and get through.

I reckon Mayfield to Win, Ringmahon to go up with them and i feel its gonna be Middleton and Lakewood to go down.

Passage, Tramore, Carrigaline, College Cors are also in the mix to go down but i think they will all be safe!

Passage and Tramore have won a few games recently with Carrigaline and Cors slipping up recently.

Leeds 2 - 0 Tramore

Any takers!

Also hear that Cors have finally recieved the point for the match with ringmahon! Think this is reflected on the Munster Senior League website.

Comfortable win for Tramore, does their hopes of staying up no harm at all. Think they only have one left against Ring Mahon, is it??

Major disappointment - Marys better team on the night, looked dangerous all through. 'Hall had a couple of spells where they were on top, but failed to capitalise.
Marys led 2-0, Deccie O'Connell scored a spotter for the 'Hall, but Marys held on.
