I think Marys are safe as i cant see rockmount losing to douglas hall. Especially knowing if they get a draw at douglas hall they only need another one at home to st marys, A team they just recently beat at home. In my opinon i think douglas hall are gone. cant see the side that lost to st marys 3-1 beating rockmount

any game I've been to in the last few months in douglas has been on the grass anyway. Pitch looked in good condition against Cobh few weeks ago doubt it would be on astro

Cheers, who do you think will win? If i was douglas i would try play it on the astroturf. Surely they be more used to it then rockmount. Any little advantage will help there cause

Match is on the grass. Rockmount train on the astroturf so wouldnt be much of an advantage that. Only way it could help is the width and lenght .Rockmount wouldnt be the youngest team and fitness might catch them

Still find it amazing Douglas hall players can take a dig at other douglas clubs saying we won the most cups on twitter. You werent saying much when wiping the tears from your face after you were relegated #tears4fahy

Surely no need to get personal and not to be kicking people when they are down it is a hard pill to swallow for any club been relegated from senior premier division like

Completely agree, nothing wrong with a bit of banter but relegation is bad enough without seeing comments on here. Interesting to see what happens next season, Lawrence Fitzpatrick has retired from everton senior so that will be a big gap to fill in the team. Everton badly need some signings if they are to survive next season. The league will be a lot tougher next year to stay up

haha yeah but this time it is legit(apparently), If so he will be a big loss. Yeah they need a few and i just cant see where those players will come from. Can see ex players coming back but not sure if that be enough. Tommy might even go for douglas hall job(again) so they might not even have a manager

If they didnt want to be in that position they wouldnt be boasting about winning a keane cup and other douglas clubs won nothing. You just got relegated, surely you think they wouldnt try to draw other clubs out

I agree but it's a job that he has been linked with and wanted for years, so wouldn't shock me at all if the opportunity came for him to get it that he would move on

100 % agree hawk but only one player saying stuff on twitter doesnt mean its douglas hall players. Thats just nonsense by that player ,especially a junior player at that.

What does everyone think of the irish squad thats heading off to istanbul?
i like the lad o connell from mayfield, decent player but surley chubbs is alot better than him and one or two more. Thats my opinion but fair play to the lad.

Surprising that only 1 cobh and 1 UCC player made the team, surely a few more from both should of got on the squad.

Even the clubs own twitter page liked it along with a few more players

Irish team is a disgrace as usual .Unless injured Chubbs should be on the squad .I wouldnt have stacky or O Connell on it.Guess Tadhg has a lot to do with it

Gannon Power wouldnt cut it for me either.

Then im not in charge so what would i know
All the best to the squad .lets hope they retain it

He might get them promoted. If he does then they should fire him as soon as he does . Horrible man to have managing a team. The way he treats young players , referees and opponents is shocking

The Relegation battle this season will be a lot tougher then years previous. Usually there was always at least one team that everyone knew would be down near the bottom, last year it was castleview. But this year You cant really pick one team that you think will be definitely relegated. Everton and midleton recently promoted may find it tough but it is never easy playing in everton park. Who do you all expect to struggle this coming season?

SecondBall

Rockmount will struggle. Everton won't be too shabby and will surprise people if they can add one or two

Hearing Everton have had a busy summer so far, Rumours that Sherlock is returning to everton park along with a couple of ex players returning again. Tommy has been very active this summer trying to recruit players and if so then fair play, Not many managers out there trying to recruit anymore. Hope they have a good season. I hear Lawrence Fitzpatrick is deciding to play again for another year

Any news on players moving from clubs? Rockmount will need to strengthen to avoid a relegation battle again.

1-1 at rockmount park last night, everton bossed the game for large periods but mount took the lead mid way through the second half and looked like it would be enough despite the late pressure being applied by the away side, however with a super header in the dying minute's rescued it for tommy corcorans men

I think rockmount could be in trouble, i was at that game vs everton and they werent great at all. Everton battled well and away in rockmount park got a very good point. Two very good points from everton, I hear Larry fitzpatrick got sent off against avondale, Not sure what for?
