Very good game tonight down the mardyke. Marys really need a result here with themselves and rockmount both fighting to avoid the last relegation spot. i think marys will end up with a draw tonight. The marys vs rockmount game in marys park second last game of the season will be a massive game

the lads must be fierce diligent up in mayfield checking them match cards :D did this not happen again last season ? seems to be worth a few points to them the last few years tho . league positions being decided by clerical errors is becoming norm .

Mayfield had a good 1-0 win against wanderers last night, they deserved the points with a "diligent" performance but good chances for both sides especially in the second half. Mayfield keeper made some good saves to keep his clean sheet. Tightens the league up at the top again

Thomas long sent a rockmount player off,I don't believe it.how many cowardly situations has Ken Hoey been involved in over last number of years and this halo is painted over him .

Wasn't down there but heard it was just one of those days coupled with brutal defending.
Marys also had a point to prove after the UCC drubbing during the week.

Avondale host UCC next Saturday so they better up their game fast.
Ringmahon host Corinthians on Saturday also.

Northside derby on Friday night Marys v Rockmount clashing with the big game at the Cross.

Marys vs Rockmount friday night should be eventful. Both teams fighting relegation. Going to be plenty of tackles thrown in there. Hopefully the Ref doesnt try and steal the show and lets the game go, To a certain point obviously. Huge game for Marys especially at home they have to be looking for nothing but a win

The Munster Senior League are a disgrace, Ken Howey get a 2 game ban for head-butt while any other player would get 6 games !!!so you get 6 games for calling someone a retard or a spastic (to which I don't agree before anyone starts)but a head-butt is worst than words in my opinion. Also this is notMr howey first time up but the senior league cover the arse of the golden boys again, speaking to a ref last night and he told me that the MSL displinarey committee called Thomas Long and Keith Callnanan in and asked were they sure the sun wasn't in there eyes .(what kind of morons sit on this committee. Second thing that was told to me by a top official was that the committee said they couldn't do much to billy for his behaviour after game but yet last year same ref put report in on casement manger and he got a 10 month ban .there a shambles in there ..absolutly a disgrace ..This Official is not contemplating packing up and is one of the better refs ..

If two games is true then that's a disgrace, I witnessed the abuse of the official and while he didn't chase him out the gate and around the housing estate as previously stated above, he was very threatening towards the official and if he wasn't restrained it may have got physical. If that's how the league treats its referees no wonder there's a shortage of refs.

Id say howey is to busy polishing and dusting all his cups ,medels and caps to be worried sbout a few posts the ledge.
All the medals in the world won't change what people really think of him and the one thing is it's his own fault he's an absolute coward on the pitch.a serious case of small man syndrome. A lot of people would love to see rockmount relegated just because of him.

No it dont but will have no prob getting players that will give him honours i won noting much as a player few leagues lower ones and a couple of cups in inter firm wen it was worth winning can you put a pic up of those medels by link ? Your opinion will be respected more on here then .

END OF SEASON CUPS
I was looking at fixtures during d week to go and watch a game and to my eyes couldn't believe that cups (1st rnd) are only starting and the season hitting May,surely these cups hav no worth this time of year, I am wondering if you sat down all managers and asked them,would they say there is too many cups in MSL, Games will be running into June I'd imagine.
So what's general feeling on it?

Chubbs put cobh 1 up after 13 mins of the 2nd half , Dales went straight back down and equalised true a Jamie Murphy peno but cobh took over than and bringing Dave Stack on really made a huge factor as he set up the 2nd for Kinsella , great work down the right by Mickey o Shea lead to Chubbs 2nd and a great lob over the advancing keeper to really see off Dales who never really created a hole lot !! Dales with no Hoggie at the back really struggled when Cobh ran at them .

Fourth goal came from Dave Stack who harried and chased down the ball in his own half and won it back after been outnumbered by Dales players and they broke to allow o Flynn finish and end cobhs night on a high !! Cobh made a few changes and confidence must be sky high as every player really put in a huge performance.

Only got there just before half time but from what I heard it was backs to the wall for a young Dale side in the first 45.
Dale started the 2nd half really well and created a few chances but failed to take them and then of course Cobh went up the pitch and Chubbs scored.
Fantastic player who took everything the came his way, his 2nd and Cobhs 3rd was a sublime finish.

Dale got a penalty just after Cobhs first but failure to keep possession and defensive naivety cost them in the end.
4-1 probably flattered Cobh a bit but deserving winners all the same and best of luck to them in the Aviva.

Was at the marys vs corinthians game last night, Referee didnt have the best of games. Seems to be the same old story with St Marys, they just can't seem to hold on to a draw or a win, Late on in Games they seem to concede a lot. Referee did them no favors either with some decisions especially a penalty appeal before corinthians 2nd goal went in. Who do you all think will go down with castleview?

Think so? I checked the league table Mayfield and Douglas hall are not out of trouble either. Both with tough games left.

Cant see rockmount getting a result against cobh sunday. Ringmahon avondale will be a very good game.
