bit harsh chiefscout as certain players are unavailable due to injury and gaa games !! also other individuals dont seem to want to sit on the bench so they made themselves unavailable !! thankless job at the best of times and unless you know the full story than its easy make snide comments and views on the squad !!
best of luck to them over the weekend , hard game tonight Vs Connaught but hopefully a win will see them off to a good start !!

Your 1st statement is ludicrous, how in d name of God a player in cork can be selected to play for his representative league when all he cares about is football for cork!how a Msl manager can even select a player that doesn't give a f... about playing is beyond me .

Congratulations to MSL squad and management team on retaining the trophy. Everyone knocked and questioned over the last week but seem to be proved wrong. Typical that none could congratulate either. Took in today's game and they where great value for the win, just goes to show squad means everything, 6/7 changes from yesterday. Well done to to all, tadgh o Neill is a nice guy in cork football & knows his stuff so well done tadgh and your team.

100% agree well done to him and the team,it's a tankless job when a lot of clubs turned there back on him,but I was making the point,1st Its not taken seriously enough by MSL,and secondly why is he picking GAA based players, who will be gone from whatever club in Jan/Feb,I think plenty of excellent 100% committed soccer players in Msl,through the three Divisions.

Well what a poor game from start to finish, two decent chances in the game ..MOM Adrian O Donavan well deserved . The standard in Munster senior league is gone to s###.Rockmount are the poorest side I have seen in a long time. Billy will do well to see out the season with that group or he will be banging down every door in the north side begging.. Well done to Douglas :ball::ball: and to Eric after the galactico's in Cobh shafted him last season :love2:

A good game , two poor keeper mistakes for Cobh goals .Cobh dominated first half but ringmahon missed 3 great chances in second half .and had cobh pinned back for long spells .I personally fancy cors to win the league if joe gamble stays around and they get one or two in

Silly season in full swing , Douglas Hal made a huge signing during the week signing former schoolboys international Robert Lehane from Cobh Rams after manger Stephen Henderson failed to make contact with the player , Douglas Hall have turned the corner since that awful defeat in Dublin, Rockmount face huge local derby Friday night a defeat will leave them 4 points adrift from 3rd bottom Ringmahon heading into xmas break. Ringmahon in free-fall sliding alarming down the table and losing top marksman dean Swords to cobh don't help.

Worked in Cork on nights on a project for a few weeks so got to see a few MSL games. Always heard that the MSL teams were great but saw Rockmount and St Mary's recently and wasn't a bit impressed. Heard afterwards in work that both teams are in the drop zone. What went wrong and are there any new young players around to get people out to watch local soccer?

It runs in cycles like everything.
Rockmount, Marys and Avondale are all in the bottom 4 but there is a massive fixture backlog.
Cobh Wanderers and College Corinthians are the top 2 and both in the semis of the Intermediate Cup.

UCC beat Rockmount 3-2 on Monday and Mount host Marys this Friday.

Cobh Wanderers host Avondale and Mayfield host UCC on Saturday.

The Douglas Derby then on Sunday morning as Corinthians host Douglas Hall.
Ringmahon and Castleview also on Sunday morning, say a prayer for the pitches.

He helped Avondale win the league in the last few weeks of last season. Then went to Italy with the Irish Amateurs and kept 3 clean sheets and qualified for the Regions Cup finals this year. He was player of the tournament and helped Munster win the Michael Ward trophy and also travelled to Oman with the defence forces team and played and captained them in the Military World Cup... What more could he have done? Ran for President????
