Arrived at HT it was 1-1.
UCC started the 2nd half like a steam train and had Dale on the rack for the first 15/20, then Dale scored completely against the run of play.
They got a third with about 15/20 to go and that was it really.
Nice to see a game played and to be out in the fresh air.

Hall beat Mayfield 3-0 in the Donie Forde also today

Avondale went 1 up through Holland

Hall then took the lead through a Fahy penalty with roughly 5 to go
Before comeford scored two late goals

Excellent game of football played by both teams in shocking conditions

Heard today Brendan O Connell has decided to stop playing soccer in order to pursue becoming the Cork Gaelic football number 1, it might put Billy Cronin under pressure to sign a keeper with Ryan McCarthy the U 19 keeper also leaving to join Cobh Ramblers having covered for O Connell earlier in the season, that leaves them with just Eddie Kenny as a recognised keeper.

No worries I wouldn't have posted here unless it was 100% correct, big losses for ye, Can you confirm Jordan return? Ya Jordan is back. As is Darren Mannix. 2 schoolboy products. Its hard for a keeper to hang about especially being back up to someone like Brendan. But look a decision has been made and Im sure both parties (Brendan and Rockmount ) will drive on.

Disgrace if that's true. He is a good keeper but that's about it. He is too small and far far to light in my opinion. Could be a tough few weeks ahead for the Mount.
Before hearing that Brendan o Connell was leaving I would of having Rockmount as strong favourites for the league, O Connell commands a big presence and reassurance for any defence, Jordan is a very good keeper in his own right but doesn't have the same stature as O Connell. Keepers are worth their weight in gold and good ones are hard to find and even harder to replace. I would play Eddie kenny before Jordan because of his experience, kristian dennehy has left as well in my opinion he wasn't given a fair crack by billy,he was overlooked he has resigned with village united. Heard as well alan O Connor didn't turn up for the game in Dublin last week against Firhouse. I think it's advantage Avondale in the league with O Connell departure, although they are losing Simon holland from their panel who is heading off travelling for a year.

rockmount are going through there fair share of players also, surprised the keeper went back after billy told him he was a waste of a good nicks in front of the whole changing room after he made a clanger Only Kristin Dennehy has left since the start of the season. Ryan Mc was u 19. No worries.

A good keeper would get ya 10 points a season Brendan o connell and Leary with Avondale are best 2 keepers in cork..if you ask me O Leary is ahead of Brendan but my God what a kick off a ball Brendan has distribution of a ball is top top class..As for having eddie Kenny as back up keeper he wasn't up 2 it while he was at Blarney st never mind say the standards rockmount set for players..

With no competitive games for a lot of clubs for about 3 months - Is Summer Soccer a realistic option for the Senior League?

Less training costs - better pitches maybe? Shorter seasons? Any thoughts?
