Lads, is this an 'munster mainly' experiment team or what's the story?
Credit to all for getting a call up but Cmon like? Don't think Jerry Smythe picked these lads!! Or did he?
Weak squad imo. The best MSL premier league 11 would wipe the floor with this lot, Hoey only player worthy of a start shurly?
Just wanna know others opinions?

Your probably right sparky but its a great achievement for a player to represent his country at any level so best of luck to all of the lads, give Gerry Smyth some food for thought.

Do people think Gerry will come down from Dublin for this game? :D

Hoey broke his arm in two places and had to have an operation on his hand this morning, the accident happened 5 minutes into the game when he fell awkwardly from a challenge with one of the Douglas Hall players, thankfully one of the Mallow first responders was on hand to help out, big blow to Rockmount losing their captain for the run in the league and cup competitions. Even more disappointing for Hoey himself missing out on leading the Irish team out in Turners Cross against Poland in a few time. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.

I don't think anyone is knocking them. Well done to all. Just surprised that players chosen are not playing at top level and they are not even the top players at their clubs. You can't deny few strange pics can you? But as I said well done for being recognised.

Bad result for St Mary's tonight could have dented their title aspirations, by all accounts they were the better side just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

Good 3 points away to Midleton last night. Good game to be fair. 2 Vinny Lonergan goals for Mount. One in each half. Midleton drew level with about 20 to go before Vinny came up with the winner. Stunning goal. Brendan saved a pen when it was scoreless.

Dale did huff and puff in the second half and had a few clear cut chances but didn't take them.
I think the extra time on Monday night took its toll in the sweltering heat today.
Credit to the Hall though they battled well and deserved something from the game.

Some tasty ties there, the pick of the round has to be Avondale vs Cobh wanderers,a good test for wanderers to see how far they have progressed this season.big game in the cross tonight Ireland vs Poland, hopefully the public will go out and support the local players on view,Anthony o Callaghan(st Mary's) called in a replacement for ken hoey.congratulations to Derek Clarke who has been called into the backroom team as goalkeeping coach for tonight game, probably the best coach in local football and a top bloke as well.

Congratulations to Ringmahon Rangers on winning the over 35 league tonight, tough battle against Leeds. Great advert for the league and a credit to both sides for producing a fast tempo game, just a thought but would the league be better off moving all the games away from the Mardyke to Moneygourney? the surface in the Mardyke(mainly because it's a hockey pitch) must be a disaster to play compared to a proper fifa approved all weather. Massive game for Everton away to Avondale, every game is a must win at this stage for them and also for Avondale who at this stage must have to win every game remaining for them to stand a chance of reclaiming the league title.

Watched the first half and Rockmount were impressive, fast on the break and took their chances very well. Horrendous conditions with very strong winds.
What about the Carrigaline "goal" just before half time, how the inesman & ref missed it was comical (ball hit the bottom bar in the back of the goal and came back out)
Anyway, 'Mount well worth their three pioints from what I saw, in a strong position now

How the goal was missed was a mystery. I have to watch my remarks about officials. Getting enough grief as it is. Glad someone else from the forum saw it.

Huge game tonight in whitechurch that effects both ends of the table,a must win game for Everton anything less will almost certainly mean the club will be playing in the second tier of the senior league next season, another three points for Rockmount will see them edge closer to their first league title in four years at this stage I feel it's their league to lose.word on the street that Dave O Keffee position at the helm of Avondale is under serious pressure after losing their intermediate cup crown and the indifferent league form,a lot of similarities with him and Alan Martin when he succeeded Billy Cronin at Rockmount big shoes to fill and a lot of pressure to deliver trophies.ironic that Dave has guided Avondale to the Munster senior cup,Donie Forde cup and Keane cup finals with the Beamish cup and O Connell cups up for grabs as well, could he win all five and still lose his job??????? Word on the street Dave ahern is being lined up to replace Billy Cronin at Rockmount when he steps down at the end of next season!

Bad result for us tonight. 2 up and well in control but we gave away a bad 1st goal and the 2nd was more less the last kick of the game from a corner... Dont wanna sound sour but the standard of refereeing is absoloutley shocking, 2 disallowed goals at least 1 should of definetley stood and to make it worse just before Midleton got their 2nd our forward was flagged for offside after making a run from his own half with just the keeper to beat.
I dont know whether to blame the referees or the people putting them in the premier but some are just not up to scratch!!!!!!
