The whole debacle of last season, how Leeds were made a scapegoat. Made for interesting listening. People calling for heads to roll over the whole thing.
Needs to get his own house in order before he start pointing fingers at others

Watched Hall-Dale mostly from the car thank god.
Hailstone, lashing rain and the astro made it difficult, a scrappy enough game, a goal in each half sent it to ET and Roy Longs header about 2 minutes from time sealed it.

I think his probably the best ref in the league. Uses common sense and keeps his cards in his pocket as much as he can. Talks to players a fair bit to so keeps things calm

Talks to players a fair bit to so keeps things calm

That was clearly evident today, it was a tense game with both sides giving their all and plenty meaty tackles. Ref applied common sense and calmed things down on the few occasions tempers got frayed.

It was a recent signing at the time who they used in the match. Are the rules not entirely clear regarding the registration of players as this seems to be a weekly occurrence at this stage

Casement signed john Cocceren on the last day of the transfer window from Glen Celtic and 3 days later received an email with a copy of the registration Form confirming That john was registered number 23 on the form and to go ahead and play him....The following saturday john came on for the last 10 Minutes against Ringmahon with the score 2-1 to Casement...Since then they recived another email saying John was ileagal and to stop playing him which they did.. Im told Casement are going the whole way with this even as far as Ucc did if they have to...The msl and the Aul are at logger heads and dont speak to each other anymore any everyone is suffering as a result....Should be very interesting to see how this plays out...

The first one confirming Johns registration is the important one. He had already played when they got the second one. When are we going to get back to football. Painful now.

If that's the case given the player the all clear to play. Why would they then retract on that? Interesting....! I suppose we will just have to watch this space.

I've just been thinking, why do the two local LOI clubs Cork City and Cobh Ramblers not have reserve squads competing in the Munster Senior League? Surely it would be a good idea by increasing the league's profile and definitely a bonus to the two clubs involved. Also why did they finish having underage clubs competing at local level. The whole system should be linked up to benefit Cork football in general.

Different leagues altogether so different registrations, then you have a summer league and a winter league,it will never happen.why do they need schoolboys when any decent young player in a schoolboy club in cork will be plucked away to either city or ramblers at youth level.to be honest I don't see ramblers lasting as a LOI club,so they will never need a reserve team, they will loose that sponsor because they don't get coverage because there being beaten every week,so no paper is gonna latch on to report on lack of progress,so the cost won't be sustainable in the long run.

The idea that they shouldn't have schoolboys teams because they'll take players anyway is completely wrong. This has to change. LOI clubs should have structures right up from u7s and the fact that associations condone this is appalling. Winter/summer seasons wouldn't have an impact. Doesn't for their u19 sides, why would it affect a reserve side? They do get coverage in the media, a lot more than non-LOI clubs regardless of the result. Match reports are still in the Echo while most nationals pick up their results.

We asked to start a team in Division 2 but were refused by the MSL.
We badly need a team for our lads who are overage for U19s but not quite ready for the first team squad.
There is a national U17 league starting next August.

The u17 league is a step in the right direction at least. Clubs need reserve sides though for the over 19 players you've mentioned. MSL would suit them perfectly.

May be the players that are overage possibly go back to there respective clubs, and help them out, playing every week for your home Jersey, rather than moping around for city or ramblers reserves getting nowhere, waiting and hoping for a call up,if good enough either club will come again.

Even enough first half, not much in the way of chances for either team.
Carrigaline defended well with Greg marshalling them at the back.
Then despite a quiet game til then Roy Long popped up with 2 in a matter of minutes in the second half.
Graham settled it later with a super strike.

The only worry ahead of the trip to Greystones next week is Podge who was caught late accidentally.

Leeds ran away from ten man Fermoy in the end this morning to win 4-0.

Tough first half, Leeds were better team but Fermoy, missing a few were dogged. Great save by young keeper to keep it at 0-0. Leeds scored early in second half and a lunge by Fermoy CB rightly got a red 10 mins later. Fermoy battled well for a while and had a great chance to make it 1-1 with 15 left, but missed it and Leeds scored not long after. 2 goals in the last few mins were very well taken but the game was well over at that point.
