Maybe this might be the shake up needed for the MSL to get its house in order and actually read the rule books and maybe apply the rules as opposed to doing what they want . If Msl had dealt with the issue as per the rules then ucc wouldn't have had a case etc. I'm personally delighted that Msl shown up as Cowboys and made a laughing stock I don't agree with the way ucc handled matter but msl aul etcc have been getting away with making up their own rules long enough and have never been challenged

Maybe if certain clubs got their act together as well, (especially those trying to cheat there way through the season playing non-registered players, suspended players etc.) these situations might not occur, two sides to every story.

Isn't that the crux of the whole issue? Leeds played illegal player in 3 games, got points in all of them, only had the points from one of them games taken off them and not the other two for some reason. The system works, the MSL were very fast to take 9 off Fermoy juniors two seasons ago (wrongly as it turned out in the end) but not Leeds? Why not is the question?

It's cost the honest club dramatically in this instance due to the whole knock on, on your logic that can't be right can it?

Fermoy were under pressure before a ball was even kicked road works in the tunnel mention they arrived very late with little time got a warm up. We played against a strong wind in the 1st half but never really looked under any pressure. We started the 2nd half really strong and probably should of scored more than 1 goal but in fairness to Fermoy they rallied in the last 10 mins and they could of but for 1 or 2 outstanding saves from tricksey got an equaliser. All in all a good game between 2 good sides.

Avondale 4-1 winners against average crosshaven

Why did you have to say "average"? Crosshaven did really well for most of the game. Player managers Denis Behan & Kevin Mulcahy both suspended along with one other. Mark Reardon injured as well. So maybe you should have said Avondale beat depleted Crosshaven?

Nobody expected xhaven to win against Intermediate Cup heavy weights, two divisions ahead of their opponents. They battled all the way through with half a team. You're righ wind didn't help Crosshaven either as they like to play football.

Fair point. But apart from the end when the game was over crosshaven offered little.prob 90% 10% possession for the whole game. Both sets of teams missing starting players and to be even bringing this up in a no contest game in horrendus conditions is just stupid. Coulda been 10 for dale if chances taken but also 3 for crosshaven. They battled well but never a contest the whole way out. I doubt kev mul and dennis would of done much damage now to be fair but all opinions to be honest.

Ya maybe. But hes just giving his opinion on what he saw.you musnt get to watch to many games if you thought the peformance was above average. Apart from the last 10mins when the game was over xhaven were camped in their own half for full game, would you not agree? You go on twice about xhaven missing players! Do you think there would been a different outcome on the game with all these players back or what?

Why so critical? Avondale will beat most teams they play and beat them well too! Any team who are missing their better players will suffer because of it. Crosshaven are more than capable at full strength in their own division, and I'm sure they'll admit they wouldn't beat Avondale at full strength either.

We're we supposed to expect anything else? Depleted or not Avondale were always going to be too strong. Fair play to crosser for scoring against them I hope we can do the same in the donie Forde!

I went to that game i thought fermoy were good value for 1 or 2 goal lead in first half with strong wind favouring them. Nevertheless Casement did have better of 2nd half with conditions in their favour but fermoy finished last quarter very strong and only for a couple of great saves from tricksey it could have been a different out come.

Fermoy 3 CIT 2
A goal fest in the first half to entertain the crowd. They were five decent goals too in fairness, few mistakes made in the lead up to the away sides two.
Plenty of good football played in the game but with a fine heavy pitch there was poor spells too. Kurt Wheeler opened the scoring for Fermoy after ten mins.
CIT equalised three mins later.Home side then went two clear with goals from Sean McCarthy and Gavin Quirke. CIT equalised close to half time with a 25 yard
drive after a poor clearance from a corner.
The 2nd half was an even affair with plenty of goal chances and goal line clearances. CIT would have been disgusted to leave empty handed after there display and Fermoy were relieved to get the three points. All in all a good watch for the crowd on a wknd where very little games were played.
