Cant wait for the report from munsterkid?
Hahaahahahahah

Cobh got out of jail, hit the bar a few times from half chances, passage very well organised and an absolute credit to the club, Fitzy was sent off for an off the ball incident, no complaints from Cobh, you can't raise your hands and expect to get away with it. Plenty more to come from the Wanderers though just weren't up to it on the night.

A far more accurate match report than munsterkids.

Passage were set up superbly well. Paul Coughlan was superb at the back and their keeper was rock solid.

Wanderers have a lot of work to do. Tactically more than anything else.

This is all a bit of fun reading here and it is very informative for those of us that watch from a far rather than post, but as bellavistman said let's not get personal. Some people here take it far too serious. At the end of the day it's a game of ball.

ha ha you got me zico your right, but ill call it as i saw it,first off tight game high tempo tight pitch, passage gave it their all and did a smash and grab with the goal considering wanderers dominate possesion with no real penetration,a few wanderers lads carrying a bit of timber around the waistline, fitz at the back was outstanding all game but raised his hand and the ineviatable happened, wanderers formation was an absolute travesty they were all over the place and chubbs playing way to deep to cause any damage with meade up front isolated with no midfielder cute enough to play a penetrating pass, passage deserved a draw take nothing away from them they gave it their all but it looked liked the formation was based around trying to fit all the stars into the team, they ll still win the league ive no doubt but here comes the humble pie they would have been eatin alive by avondale tonight or any top prem team, alot of work yet to be done in cobh yet, including fitness but hats off to passage they played like their lives depended on it. Pretty much spot on Munster. First half was tense, few chances. Second half opened up. Two good sides and Cobh do look like they will get better they more they play. Passage died for the cause and it was a lovely cross and header. Good crowd - guy next to me called the Pirlo pen! Return match last day maybe! Always good not to lose the first one! Entertaining couple of hours

Have to say i agree take passages heart and determination out of it and it could have been a different story although saying that great play down their left all game good ball retention ,great goal ball to strikers feet great lay off to the wing and smashing first time cross and a chicharito style header, most likely these 2 teams will contend for the top 2 but wanderers really need to balance their team alot better than tonight, manager has to take the hit for points lost tonight.

Draw fair result in the end up in moneygurney. Hall led then marys got 2 in quick succession. Fox then equalised for hall. Not a bad second half to be fair to both sides

Mayfield 2- 1 ringmahon. Even enough game two teams who will be up and around the top for most of the year. Mayfield got a good goal to go one up ball played inside right full for winger to finish, ringmahon equalised might have been a question of off side before the finish. Mistake from ringmahon defence allowed mayfield to go 2-1 up just before halftime. Second half had ringmahon pressuring but not creating a whole lot but looking dangerous from set pieces. Both sides had good pen claims turned down, mayfield keeper pulled off great save and then mayfield had one of the post and across the line that looked in all the way. Good game of ball though some great football first half and very intense second half, not a bad way to spend an afternoon with a decent crowd so good atmosphere as well.

When is that not an issue in the msl standard isn't great but there's no matches without them!! Bad for both teams to be fair, lot of easy frees and yellows but no big decisions

Took this game in also in douglas.
good competitive game and thought the ref did a good job. Maybe could of sent kelleher off after a heavy challenge towards the end peterpan? There was no free giving but he was on a yellow and went straight through him!! Player had to go off straight away.looked nasty from where i was standing.

Ref gave no free, he did win the ball but it just looked nasty from where i was and he easily could of sent him, marys line thought so by their reaction!

Two bad calls alright ! Midleton had goal disallowd for offside in 1st half which looked well on aswell as castleviews disallowd goal. Midleton tried to play football and looked ok at times, dodgy balls at the back could of been costly.

Totally agree killer b,Midleton deserved the win, left a few chances behind them,to be honest I expected a much better castleview,Cambridge and butt very quiet, was waiting for them to spark to life but they never did.linesman was dodgy alright on a couple of decisions for both.i think the league is going to be wide open from top to bottom this year by looks of results already.

Have to agree with you but going by what rockmount have brought in and what Ucc lost, avondale still huge favorites in the league and it's anyone's guess who will go down, everton would be my early favourites

Only heard the devastating news that Tadgh O Neill is the new MSL manager. Relegated 2 years running with 2 different teams. What in Gods name are the MSL committee thinking ? This decision must have been made in The Kiln after a few shandys I'd say. Complete and utter joke !! Was this job even advertised ?

Wanderers 6-0 at home to Youghal. Youghal had two sent off in the first half which killed the game off really. Good performance by Cobh. Missing Chubbs, Davin and Fitzy but wouldn't even have noticed. Will have tougher games no doubt

I know Tadgh well and your right he is a nice guy but that doesn't mean he's a good manager. Pirlo said it above it goes to show how serious the League are going to take it this year. Although any manager would be doing well to get any sort of a squad for a weekend in Donegal.

I've also heard that 4 of the stronger players around cork have refused to commit to playing this year. I also heard some of his ex mayfield colleges from 4-5 yrs ago will be playing which is not surprising.

The msl exhausted the list and have been turned down by the majority of premier managers to travel to Donegal for this tournament apparently Taigh was the only one left willing to do it. So it's not his fault he was asked or the MSL to turning to him there was simply no one left.

The MSL, LSL, USL & CFA pick panels of players from each of their Senior leagues too play in a tournament over one weekend in Donegal in The Micheal Ward Trophy.
