Bandon turning up with 8 players last week and not bothering tonight, disgrace to the senior premier division. Just looking at their results, took 2 points off Leeds during season, those 2 points would of kept them up!!

Yea and Liverpool were the best team in the Premiership,which counted for nothing its called consistencey. Its about having the bottle when it matters and not just when it suits thats what separates the winners from the rest.

There may be trouble ahead......If ucc win an appeal that last game that ended 4-1 would surely be discounted as Dale had been crowned champs already and had switched off. Article makes it sound like UCC hammered Dale in a match that mattered.

great point clifford..this is gone beyond ridiculas to be fair. why didnt ucc appeal this when they were still in contention ie before the mount game? looks to me like a pack of sore losers to be honest. would ya really want a league in this fashion? dale have been given the league celebrated and now on about taking it back? MSL really need to clarify. last i heard was UCC (UNIVERSITY CRECHE of CORK):o got told by MSL that if they complain once more they were been fined to late for all appeals apaarently.. looks like they havent listened and have gone behind MSL backs. this should be very interesting how things play out?

In my opinion ucc have totally destroyed there good name. I think there would be no problem if they put in the appeal when Everton were awarded the points but to put it in now after bottling it is beyond a disgrace. The league should throw the book at them for there dirty tactics.

Don't make false assumptions about Everton like Billy Barry. Everton didn't ask for 3 points and Everton, more importantly, didn't lodge any objection against Leeds. Everton won matches when they had to unlike, as you stated, Leeds or UCC.

very true start the league a month late and try finish up asap cause caulfield is gone..msl have bent over backwards for them in fairness and in the end they are just not good enough.. baby tantrums now.. next season they should be told play when everyone else is starting and not a month in;). billy barry to be dragging evertons name into this is a disgrace. hes worse then ucc for giving this airtime and papertime and taking away from the fact that everton survived fairly and actually finished 4th great achievment in my eyes and also the fact that the best team in amature football (my opinion) won fair and square.. grow up and take a loss on the chin and come back next year and try harder:p the bar has been set, now rise to the challenge and stop throwing the dummies out of the pram.:yawn:

After reading the report on the echo I must say UCC have a fair point!! The player in question played against them when they drew and against Everton when Everton lost yet Everton get 3 points and UCC get 1?? Now someone explain that to me please!! Some ridiculous comments being posted on this thread, anyone in UCC's position would appeal for those three points, the MSL should have sorted this mess out a long time ago.. If Everton got awarded 3 points than other teams should be entitled to the points as well (provided the illegal player played in the game), timing on the appeal is not ideal but when there's only 1 point in the difference ucc have nothing to lose by appealing.. Perhaps the MSL believed that Avondale would have won the league by a bigger margin

On the ucc avondale thing... The MSL really need to start stepping it up, if this was GAA or other sports teams would not get away with this, firstly most teams wouldnt try because most organisations are on top of illegal players and other stuff. IMO teams are gonna try it simply because MSL are not up to standards with the rest and its a pity because we have some of the best teams in the country here just not the brains behind the operation to run it.

I agree with Splinter, over the last 4-5 years all clubs, management and players especially have raised the bar in terms of preparation and fitness and tactics but the MSL is just made up of guys who like to wear a blazer and meet in the Brewery! They are way off the standard that is expected. There is always a question over their process when an issue arises. The one thing they did get right to be fair is having the fixtures out earlier than a week. They should have dealt with the Leeds issue there and then. It's a farce.

Well done Avondale on another unbelievable year. Nice that the Dubs are starved of the Intermediate cup. I feel sorry for Leeds though, I don't think they were the second worst team in the league. Finally great to see Casement climbing the leagues!

I think all the clubs have to sit down and discuss these problems which the msl are causing and come together on behalf of each other (the clubs that are the leagues) and face the msl as a hole not just 1 club !! If the clubs make a stance as a hole then the msl will change there ways but if 1 clubs rocks the boat ,they get picked on more or less and there name is in the papers eg UCC , Leeds etc !! Enough is enough with all the crap been said about this club and that club , it's now time to take on the powers that be (msl committee) who move the goal posts when it suits them !! Ucc Should hav chased it down the minute Everton got points,not be snakes wait for Avondale to play a weaker team due to there fai game upcoming,beat Avondale then apply for points.avondale game should never went ahead,just like the league postponed junior league cup because ringmahon appealed over illegal player,game was played then after appeal was sorted.proper way to deal with situation.

I dont think yere getting my point ,1 player form submited with the same name to be taken off leeds registration to get a new player on at xmas,player plays on the whole way through even gets suspended by msl and they still didnt cop the duplicate name cause it was a simple genuine mistake the player in question has been at the club for years,then when leeds are lookin safe their hit with 3 point deduction 10 days to the end of season sending teams to leeds park set up for the draw,if the law was einforced ucc should have automatically got points and corinthians but instead they take 3 off to sink leeds why didnt they check all games he played in illegally and award points accordingly to those teams why pin point one game
