Because Avondale played at home game on, Everton played at home game on, Wilton played at home game on, Castleview at home tomorrow night: Game will be played yet Rockmount game is pulled yet they have one of the best pitches around and they also have 3 other grass pitches at their grounds so I think it's fair that people raise suspicions when their game v Ucc is called off.

Marky Sull is quickly becoming a fan's favourite at the Cross, he was man of the match in the 3-0 win against Shamrock Rovers on Friday.

Good game last night on what was a tricky pitch. Leeds arrived at town park the favourites and played very well and to be honest did have the majority of possession thorough out the game but even more so when Bandon had a man sent of for second yellow 5 minutes in to the second half. There could be no complaints with the sending of. Leeds found Bandon difficult to break down with Bandon seemingly able to cope well with whatever Leeds threw at them. Both sides could have won it in the end Leeds had the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled offside in what was a very tight decision and Bandon had 2 great opportunities to steal it at the other end with the Leeds keeper making a great save for one of them. These mid week games have a habit of throwing up the odd strange result with players unable to make games etc but I thought Bandon were well worth their point in the end. It might be a little late but things starting to gel a small bit for Tiague at Bandon with the return of a number players both from injury and work commitments. With Bandon still to play each of the 3 teams above them there's a little chink of light there. No one at Bandon has thrown in the towel just yet. A few sides are in for an uncomfortable end of season fixture at town park before the season closes.

cors at home to marys.. tough one for cors but think they will come out on top today. If they dont then there right in the mix to go down.
hall at home to bandon. Cant see past a hall win but a great result for bandon the other night against a good leeds team. Hall fail to win today and i think its curtains for them!!

Took in this game last night and to be honest Im glad I did. At the beginning it was notable that the Avondale squad was a bit thinner than usual for this game and I suspect with the games coming think and fast John Ryan has decided to rest a few players. Midleton seemed short of a few alright as well but it might be the case that I simply didn't recognize some of the new established players. Avondale got of to a fine start scoring early and for the the first half hour looked very strong with Chubbs looking lethal up top. They added to their opener in quick fashion and before long they were 3 up without reply. They moved the ball very well in the final third with power and a lot of pace with Caulfield and Dave Warren linking very well pulling the strings and finding a lot of space..

Midleton tried to press as much as they could but like most teams found it hard to contain the movement. They conceded a silly 3rd which seemed to knock the wind out of them and at that stage it was game over.Midleton pulled one back just before half time with an absolutely fantastic free kick that had the Avondale keeper rooted to the spot and it was no more than they deserved as they never stopped all night with the young no 10 for Midleton doing very well and their no 2 making it hard for Avondale down their left. Whilst the goals set the teams apart to their credit Midleton tried to stay competitive in all areas of the pitch ensuring Avondale sure as hell didn't get anything easy

For the second half I cant be sure if it was Avondale talking the foot of the pedal or Midleton improving as the game went on but Id like to think it was the latter. Midleton were industrious throughout the game snapping at the heels of the Avondale players and worked very hard and were unfortunate to concede a fourth midway through the second half when both keeper and defender missed a through ball and it rolled into the net. Avondale didn't get it all there own way last night in Midleton by no means but Avondale simply had too much on offer in terms of power and pace. I thought Chubbs was a class act and every time he got the ball in the final third he looked seriously dangerous. A lot of credit to Midleton for their approach and effort especially in the second half. Stand out players for Midleton the young no 10 and the no 2. Avondale was chubbs and spratty. Referee didn't have much to do all night as game was played very well by both teams. Worth making the trip for Midletons goal and chubbs performance.

Yes corkgaffer saw you at game we were short due to work and injuries and it being a cup game if we used junior players they would have being cup tied for there super cup, we started with 2 16 year olds and we finished using 2 more 17 year olds which is great for those young lads. Young lads are the future and in conor fitzgerald and jack farmer we have two good ones. We started poorly to be fair and conceded sloppy goals but we rallied well in second half and game will help us for st marys next fri in which we will be stronger. I even managed to get on the pitch myself .

I thought Bandon were unlucky not to come away from Moneygourney last Saturday with at least a point. It goes to show when you are at the bottom the margins can be pretty fine. First of all I thought the timing of the game was ridiculous. 7.45pm kick of on a Saturday night is a terrible time to be playing a game in my opinion. Both sides were pretty committed from the outset and it was Bandon that enjoyed good early spells of possession. There was definitely a nervousness displayed by the Hall at the beginning of the game especially at the back which is to be expected and Bandon were unlucky not to go ahead when Alan Sheehan beat the keeper and the ball came back of the post and into play. Like I said earlier the margins at the bottom (and top) can be pretty fine and I do believe that had that went in the game would have had a different complexion altogether. The Hall started to grow into the game and took the lead midway through the first half. The continued to look good out wide and Decky was as he always is a constant threat.

Bandon rallied and the equalizer game as a result of the Hall keeper failing to release the ball and an indirect free kick being given inside the 18 yard box which was slotted home by Richie Collins. After that both sides traded punches in terms of efforts with the Hall having the better of them but failing to put them away. Both sides enjoyed good possession and the game seemed an even affair for most of the second half. Bandon also had a number of chances but despite their nervousness the Hall defense done well. The second from the Hall came from Bandon not clearing their lines quick enough and to be fair the Hall pounced to score their second. Bandon pushed on looking for the equalizer and as expected were open to the break and it was one of these breaks that led to the Halls third. A quick ball over the Bandon left fullback that should have been dealt with when they had the chance wasn't cleared. The Hall won back possession and worked it cleverly into the box to win a penalty which was smashed home. Bandon were definitely inhibited by only having the bare 11 with no substitutes and they defintely showed signs of tiredness as the game went on whereas the Hall had a decent bench and mooresy used it very well.

Bandon can reflect on what could have been and personally I thought the penalty that finished them off was very soft. Take nothing away form the Hall these games at this time of the season (and night) can be sticky and they came through it well and they scored when they needed to. Best for Bandon Alan Sheehan to be honest no one really stood out for the Hall but a solid team performance. Next up for Bandon is Avondale, Everton Corinthians and Rockmount at home. Midleton away. Performances definitely improving at Bandon and town park wont be an easy place for some teams needing points and playing their return league fixtures.

Jaysus all to play for looking at that. Maybe to much for bandon to do but all the others have it in there own hands and can't ask for anything else. I'm sure there will be a surprise or 2 yet. not much margin of error there for the teams battling it out. Good luck to ye all. Could very well go down to the last few mins on the last day.
