Went to the Everton Rockmount game. It was as one sided as you will see. Everton are in deep trouble and will do well to stay up.

Everton so poor this morning it was painful to watch. Always used to give rockmount tough hard but clean games but rolled over this morning like a puppy. Looks like terry Connolly got out just in time. No wonder Sean cotter and Pearce Celtic manager didn't take over

Looks to me that Ucc and Avondale will fight it out for the league . With the players Everton have lost and the youngsters coming in and change of management there in trouble they don't seem to have the fire power up front. Haven't scored in last few games an backline seems to be leaking goals.

From what i seen today the left back didnt want to be there and everton manager took him off when they were 3 down and centre half didnt come back out in second half either.it looked like to me is everton practicully started wit 9 men that wanted to play and no matter wat team you are if you dont have people committed in the top leagues you will get found out and those players did today.. Plenty of matches left and i think that everton will turn there last few weeks around!

Was there today I missed the first 10 minutes by that stage mount were 2up.
Great penalty save from Brendan rather then a bad penalty which could have been a game changer if it went in.
Penalty down the opposite end then game over.
I hope Everton stay up been honest it just looks like there lacking confidence and being a young team it's a major thing.

They beat Avondale away last week, have the Keane Cup in the bag, semi final of Donie Forde Cup and all of a sudden people are questioning if they are relegation contenders. Absolutely not even do they will be disappointed to have lost 3 of their first 4 league game ( 1 v mount and 1 v Ucc) which are tough games.
I'd expect them to shoot up the league when they have a few more league games under their belt. Expect a top 4 finish behind 1 Avondale 2 Ucc and 3 Rockmount.
no nonsense

Forget the cups, the league is where it's at. Wins are hard to come by in the Premier League and a bad start can be hard to claw back. They are too good to be there but the likes of Midleton, Everton, Bandon etc all have their heads ready for a long hard battle. They will target games with Corinthians like cup finals to keep them involved in the scrap...

Do you mean everton signed junior players to play senior or what? Because from what I saw today it was the junior players that came in today once called upon held things together, otherwise it could have been embarrassing for Everton.

That's what I mean calling upon the clubs junior sides to help them out is a bit silly?? None of them are a great junior side to be fair... I hope Everton stay up some good people up there that love that club but personally I can see them going down I'm afraid!!

Not premier teams though!! Everton just going through a rebuilding process I think least they have the resources in place with schoolboy and junior teams !! They might go down but will be back up again

Forget the cups, are u for real? With Avondale winning the league every year what else has everyone else to play for. Everyone else might as well stay at home. Ok the league is the big one but who would turn down a cup. A good cup run can keep a team alive if their league form is poor. I'm sure Billy Cronin at Rockmount would love a cup with his current squad when he see's how strong Avondale are, who wouldn't. Corinthians are a superior outfit to the teams you have mentioned and will go up the table of that I'm sure. Lets not forget prior to this defeat against an excellent UCC team that beat Everton 7-0 and Midleton 0-4 away Corinthians beat Rockmount and Avondale back to back.

I also think it's unfair the way some teams had played 7 and 8 games more than Corinthians in the league, surely this can't be right. I know they were involved in the FAI Cup and this may have caused a fixture back log but it looks terrible when one team has only played 1 league game come Christmas and almost everyone else has played 8 or 9.

What a ridiculous statement. Just because there the current top teams don't mean people interested in soccer wouldn't be at other games. GET A LIFE. Your pal / 2nd hand info must have no interest in football either to say he was at it. Must be a good source lol.

Tricksy I'm a norrie out an out so forgive me for askin but I don't know so I wanted to ask. The movement of players between Everton/ Pearse/
Dunbar / kilreen/ Greenwood and Casement . Dose it not cause animosity between the clubs being so near to each other . Or is it just a given that these things happen during a season .
Realisticly most of the Msl clubs are based on the SouthSide so it might just be the norm to bounce from club to club an eyebrows arnt raised . Is this the case .

No worries it's just handy for fellas there's so many good clubs around here that for whatever reason your leaving your current club you don't have to go to far.it doesn't cause much I'd say the odd few words I suppose haha but we all know each other and it wouldn't get over heated.most fellas in the clubs you named probably started with Everton but you can't hold onto everyone or when you reach 17/18 fellas head to city Cobh or other senior clubs that's my 2 pence anyway littleman if that helps ?

Good move for the kid I reckon. I never thought he was a Premier player maybe that was because he was put in to the Senior League to early. With his Father after stepping down I think it made his decision a lot easier to step down a few leagues.

To be fair that's just like asking us what it's like up here little man!! Same goes on and with a few clubs up here there is hate between the 2 clubs involved if they leave!! Rockmount Mary's castleview temple Leeds mayfield are just a few senior teams but junior is a different ball game way to many junior clubs in northside in my eyes!! Players aren't moving for footballing reasons anymore either (not all there is still a few genuine fellas ) Me personally with my old club I'd prefer to have fellas who are there for football and it shows they want to be there!!

Haven't seen much of this fella to be honest but what I have seen of him is he's lively out! A bit light and off the pace for senior premier!! 2nd division will suit him not a great standard but will make him stronger it's a bit more physical not much ball in that league! Willie Byrne would make him a better player with his experience I didn't know he works a lot though so that could stop the young fella improving! The lad seems a nice young fella from the little times I've seen him so hope it works out for him and casement!
