No report but a good draw away from home to 1 of yer main contenders Dudds. fair play. 3 points away to mallow as well, so going well. Good to see ye've got YER players back from MSL Junior, both Douglas Hall and yer selves,. Pobs as captain is a great choice. Extremely loyal and a lovely ball player. Best of luck for the season ahead.

Any report on the fermoy/ringmahon game Clifford?? You usually give a very true/accurate report .

Wasn't there this weekend, away. By all accounts a good hard game played in a great manner as usual between us. Ringmahon as always provide a good tough opponent and for sure they will be up there in the mix all season long. We'll carry on being as honest and committed as we can and hope it will also see us involved in the upper part of the table.

Mick was super by all accounts but people seem to forget that's a weekly occurance for us. Hes top drawer. Shame he has carried on to be so good really as he now represents his country again this weekend and we have to go into battle with Blarney in our Muns Sen cup game without him as he's playing in an FAI acknowledged game and we apparently don't get to go and see him. What a crock of ****e. I've no GAA interest and yet everyone got a week off to get ****ed for some game two weeks ago. yet we've a lad playing for Ireland and its ignored. I'm sure Mount and Dale always get free weeks when the lads are honoured by the fai. Must be different for the likes of us.

Suppose it's no different to only finding out we were game of the week this weekend v Mahon through buying the echo on Friday. Not a peep from the authorities or the Echo for even a miserly quote. Some joke in fairness. Thought two teams played in the game of the week. Coulda fooled me.

Anyway on we go.

Entertaining enough game between a very big and physical castleview side and a decent wilton team, who when played ball on the ground looked dangerous !!!

Spot on there. Wilton could be a Premier side in a couple of years if they can keep some of the youngsters, very talented. Castleview will be dissapointed dropping another 2 points at home.

beaten by youghal tricksey? whats going on there?

Nothing going on red we were unbelievable on the night to be fair had all the possession again and there goalkeeper made at least 7 top saves we hit the post the crossbar were denied a blatant penalty and had a goal that was over the line not givin.
The youghal players said it was over! our management were dissapointed with the result but the performance couldn't be faulted. youghal scored from a corner and a break away.

I seem to remember the exact same same happening in yer Keane Cup game against Mallow last month, which if it had been correctly awarded, would have put Mallow 2-1 up at the time.

The old saying of things evening themselves out over the season never more true in this instance.

Youghal is a tough place to go. Not many teams get anything easy down there. Ye've had a solid enough start. As someone who is watching MSL a long time it's good to see a Casement side even competing. Some fine sides through the years...

No team will will roll through that league this year, some great football been played by a number of teams already looks like its going to be a tough league, but if casement can keep playing football like they are now they will be well in with a shout at the end and u cant ask for more than that.

Must 1 sided game I've ever seen. Midleton hit every part of the goal except the net. Everton keeper had a super game and made some unbelievable saves, and single handily won the 3 points for his team.

This game brought a tear to my eye. It was caveman football at its best, it was so bad the man at the gate should have given our 3 euro back on the way out and apologised for robbing us out of 2 hours out of our lives which can never be taken back. The only positive i could take out of it was Midleton's left winger and hes probably wondering how in gods name did I end up here maybe its Karma for sins of his past life.

What are you on about two teams battleing from start to finish was a good game all round.. midelton were on top for most of the game last 20 everton had a few chances.. so there was positives for both teams.. ..

I'm speaking from a neutral prospective My Dad is down for the weekend so I wanted to bring him to a MSL game. I agree with you that the two teams battled. But that was it the football on display was an absolute disgrace. They should have stopped the game and just had a booting competition similar to the long puck in hurling.

im neutral aswell mate but start of the season is always hard for every team trying to get the balance right and players in and stuff.. iv watched midelton a few times this season and everton 2 times this season and find midelton dont play through the middle the just seam to lump it forward and press then .. everton on the other hand pass the ball from back through to midfield and so on but yesterday midelton pushed and pushed amd everton dealth with it from my point of view ... long season ahead and looking forward to getting to more of the games ...

Nice too hear positive comments on the keeper not negitive. That lad works hard and trains most weeks 3 or 4 times since the beginning of last season.

I saw this one midleton looked very fit and solid against a very young Everton team who will only get better as the season goes on.Midleton will be kicking them selfs for not getting something out of this game. The Everton keeper gave a master class on the night, by no means a classic but a good hard game all the same.

Fermoy 2--1 Blarney

They led at half time through an own goal. We equalised 20 left with an Og. We scored a nice winner with 7/8 left. Learned very little about each other to be honest.

Not a game for the purist but to be expected with both teams light on bodies due to the hurling.

possible trying to ensure people don't have to take time off work for no reason?

All our lads who had to changed shifts accordingly last Thurs when the fixture went up. As is the norm. Very unusual for a game to be pulled with no reason at all behind it so late in the day. Was only asking if anyone knew anything.

On we go to Sunday.

Any match report ?
Good entertaining game of ball with at least 10 yellow cards id say but mount will b disgusted that they didn't take all 3 points as they had 3 great chances , 2 of them well saved by the Everton keeper and Blakey missing a sitter with minutes left !!! Everton didn't hav a shot on target I'd say and were far the happier at the full time whistle !!!

I tought Hayes for mount had a massive 1st half , tore Everton apart when he ran at them and got hauled down around 25 yards outside d box but mount made noting out of the free kick , o Leary back 2 but lacking match fitness , AOC always took on Everton but over did it at times , but as I've said b4 I think mount need a decent centre midfielder who pulls d strings , weak link in there team by a mile !!!

Saw mount v everton. Mount will be disappointed that they didn't pick up 3 Pts but what a start to the season for Everton.
Mount are superb at the back and John Hayes is excellent up top but there midfield is terrible. Without doubt the weak link of the team.

What a miss by the Rockmount midfielder at the end. Not sure who it was. Plenty of yellows.

Entertaining ?????

To be fair this is Munster senior league premier not the premiership and if you come across a better 0-0 draw then fair play but it was mounts 1st league game and evertons 3rd and they were away so what were you expecting like !!! This was never going to b a game to cherish but Everton came to not be defeated and mount attacked from the start to get 3 points but found the Everton keeper in top form so don't be ****ed off as a rockmount die hard and praise a good entertaining game for a neural !!!

Were you watching the same Chalky. Didnt decide result with any decisions but very very poor.

Just because chalky didn't let monty and co ref the game doesn't mean he had a poor game. He booked two Mount players for dissent, kept Brendan in check when he twice ran 30 yards too get players booked and also stopped things boiling over on a few occasions. Only fault is he maybe could have played advantage for both teams two or three times but he blew up, tho going back too the boiling over part. Again this is MSL Premier and not champions league so not faults from me.

I ask you tho were you watching the game at all?? Both keepers could have brought flasks, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Everton keeper make an outstanding point blank save in the first half? Also every cross, free kick and cornor was dealt with (punched or caught) by both keepers. Maybe there wasn't 30 shots on target by both sides but saying they had nothing too do is just wrong!

It was a good save not taken nothing away from the lad but did the keepers have a lot to do besides that ? A lot of yellows Sparks for what was not a dirty game. Advantage could have and should have been applied on a few occasions, Everton were wronged more than Mount I would say. Still 4 points from 6 is ok coming from the position that we were in a few weeks back. Everyone pulling together and we wont be too bad I would think.

Yes a lot of yellows on paper. But most were deserved. Mount had at least 2 for decent and 2 for constant fouling, Everton had 2 for constant fouling & 2 for silly challenges where in my opinion Mount players used expierence. He stopped the game from boiling over when certain players were demanding blood and it never got out of control. Thats just my opinion on it. I'm sure had both camps been offered 1st & 2nd in the league at this point a few weeks back they would have taking it.
