Away to College Cor for the Rockmount on Sunday morning, who else playing this weekend?

Any stories from Spratty's wedding Razor? All got through it ok I suppose.

Castleview away to Douglas Hall Sunday morning, should be a good test of character after the Mayfield defeat in the Inter Cup!!

Tough game indeed Billy, this will show how both sides are shaping up even if it's very early in the season.

Douglas Hall 1-2 Castleview. Hall 1 up at half time, Castleview equalised early in the second half, Finton Forde with a great header from a corner. And the same player wrapped it up 5 mins from time. Tough game, could have gone either way.
Any other results?

Good win for Rockmount away to Corinthians. Almost identical to the View game BB, College Cors went 1 up against the run of play. Mount missed a spotter and then hit back with Alan Martin and John Busteed goals to win 2-1

UCC must have been short players, called off the game late Sat night even though Mount saw the pitch during Sat and it was fine. Joke. The MSL are a joke.

That area of the City has never been renowned for being able to hold water and there was a hell of a lot of water fell on Saturday, Didn't go down to Carrigaline on Saturday myself, far too wet.

There is prob a legitimate excuse all right, just smacked of a panic postponement as they could have pulled it during the day, but didn't when the pitch was looked at..no harm done.

Like to wish the MSL team all the best in Donegal this weekend, Patsy has gone about things in a very professional manner as always and I hope he get's the rewards due to them despite many last min absences.

Think they got to play the LSL tomorrow.

Belgrove should have no probs with Casement, Rockmount beat them easily enough back in September, Midleton aren't great these days. Physical side, strong through the middle.

Castleview 2 - 2 UCC, bizzare game to say the least, 3 Castleview players sent off and there wasn't a tackle in whole game. Castleview were 1 up and 2 up but couldn't hold on to the lead. They had two great chances to win with only 8 men on the pitch.

Was that at the Maradyke last night? How was the pitch? I have reservations about them being allowed take on teams under lights - it's got to be an advantage to them.

Sounds like they provided their own ref as well....

Maradyke indeed, they have an advantage I suppose but they're not as good as they were in recent years. I reckon Rockmount will beat them next week, Castleview no excuses really they should have beaten them on the night. What can I say I'm going to be bias when the referee sends off three of own players but there was just no need for it.

Indeed, 3 is an amazing amount to be honest. Not heard of such messing for a long time. Was there linos as well for that game? It doesn't seem to be improving the standard in my opinion.

There was linesmen alright, in fairness it was all the Refs own show. I don't know his name but he's well known. He's a kind of chubby, tanned man form the Northside I think. One was a straight red for saying to Ref "your a joke" after sending the other two off for two yellows.
Patsy gets the line every week, very hard for him watch that **** going on and say nothing, you'd think he'd be use to it by now!!

Who took the pen Razor? Who scored for Hall?

Mount fought out a tough tough 1-1 draw with Blarney yesterday morn in windy Rockmount park. Went one up 10 into second half Ross O Callaghan slotted home well. Then the ref went to town on Mount and eventually awarded a free where Edwin fell over his own laces and they scored from the resultant cross. Mount should have won it in the end, but Blarney were decent.

UCC away tomorrow night and Munster Senior Cup in Clonmel for Mount on Sunday.

Just back from the Maradyke, Rockmount won 2-1 on a cold night. Ross O Callaghan got the 1st mid way through the second half after Mount had been the better of two very good teams by a small margin. UCC lost a man after a stupid second yellow, yet a free was headed home with three mins left by the centre half wearing 5. It looked like the points had gone for the Champions, but no-one told the bold Willie Byrne who stepped up in the second min of stoppage time to bend a free kick straight into the top corner. Happy days as the Mount go top alone for the first time this season.

Rockmount 2-1 Douglas Hall

Hall took the lead early on with a mistake by Mount defence - good finish by Hall player. Mount were out of sorts, lucky to see a goal chalked off two mins later to go 2-0 up. Second half different story Beechinor scored a cracker and hit the post after a great move and the ball rebounded in off the defender.

Mount v Waterford united in next round apparently.

Away to Avondale apparently on the 30th December.

Avondale pitch "declared" unplayable on Fri, so match got re-fixed for Rockmount park on Saturday, Avondale didn't show up, pitch was playable, but someone had other ideas and the mysterious decision by the gaggle of refs in attendance to call the game off blew us all away. The pitch was in great nick, there was little wind. Mysterious stuff indeed.

Can't wait to find out why Avondale just didn't bother showing up to a fixture they agreed to and were bound to. Anyone know why that would happen?

Anyone know why that would happen?I'm presuming you mean myself Cliffy. Heres what I heard.
Aiden O'Regan inspected Avondale Park at 3pm the day before the game and "deemed" the pitch unplayable.
Avondale at this point were of the opinion that the game was off and were unaware of any rescheduling.
When JC did find out about this "reschedule" he felt it came too late to be able to contact all his players in order to fulfill the fixture.
Dale at home to Everton next Saturday in the league. Weather permitting.;)

Cheers Razor, just wondered how it went wrong. Simple explanation asked for and got. Thanks. Amazing how fast the message got out that the game was off, yet an hour later....

(PS - When you see him let JC know about the beauty that is group text, it sends a text to all his players mobiles in seconds. Amazing technology really...)

Castleview away to Everton Sunday morning. 0-0 with Tramore...no game since Nov 23rd might have something to do with it. Tramore battled well, Castleview struggled to take their chances.

Agreed Billy, it's hard to maintain any sort of match sharpness with the way the season has been so stop start so far. Don't let anyone go on a June holiday I reckon!

Mount have been playing mid-week friendlies under lights to try and spark some kind of match practice. It's a real pain eh?

Everton away is never easy, good luck with it.
