Good player Sully, shame. I hear Hall are the new Chelski!!

Mount beat Mallow 3-1 yesterday, good workout with a good wind as usual.

Any other pre season results? Keane Cup next weekend, bring it on.

Come on lads, what's news?

Is Marky sull off to Douglas Hall or what?

Razor, confirm or deny!!!!

Come on Billy - who have you brought in or lost?

Mount have re-signed Alan Martin and everyone of the Championship winning team.

Castleview have Mayfield and Garrydufff in the Keane cup. New signings so far are Paddy O' Shea(keeper from 2004/5 season), Owen Geaney, Anthony Fenton and Jonathan Coco.

Coco the clown is it Billy? Excellent. He's a smashing lad JC.

Anyone get last night's Echo, the Cork squad was on it apparently - I missed it.

Mainly Rockmount and View players, the usual Hoey, weldon, Slattery, Clifford, healy, Blake, Butt, Kearney, O'leary etc.

Rockmount welcome Passage to the season with a 4-0 destruction this morning. Beechinor, Oldham, CLifford and O Callaghan with the goals. Very strong side out for the Mount, never really in doubt.

How did the rest get on?

Anyone get last night's Echo, the Cork squad was on it apparently - I missed it.It was just the Northside squad, i'm presuming the southside squad will be announced as soon as Patsy ventures across the river.

Avondale had a very unconvincing 4-2 win over Ballincollig on Saturday, 3-2 up at HT, they had to survive a few dodgy moments from a very young and lively Ballincollig side, got the 4th late on.

I hear Mount have added a new high profile coach to their staff.;)

Castleview won 4-1 at home against a very ordinary Garryduff side. Blake, Healy, Forde and Falvey.

Indeed I am now part of the training set up. I'm top class at putting out the cones and washing bibs. Well something had to be done about Douglas "Chelski" Hall eh?

No better place to learn than at the home of football indeed, I agree with you.

Billys Boots, rumours abound about who they have signed, lot's of cash is allegedly involved, lot's of it. I've no idea who they have signed, one mentioned in the thread last week, but I'm not sure!!

I'm awaiting with my boots at the ready for an acceptable offer to come out of retirement, put it that way.

hello lads, i was up there last night, the right winger michael got one and i think willie o'keeffe came on and got the other, i missed the first goal as it was scored early and i got there late.. very scrappy game a pure start of season match, temple were awful, avondale were too strong for them but they didn't look as good as they can be either, they did have a few players missing though..

Welcome Yoda,

Glad to have some new voices on board get your mates down here as well, it's good fun. Sounds like a good enough game. I'm just in from Mount v Ringmahon, where Ringmahon won 2-0 and deserved it on the first half display. It was all Mount in the second half, but a breakaway second nailed it for the home side. Fair dues to em.

Mount had one of those days and of course were missing loads...

razor
28/08/2006, 11:00 AM
of course were missing loads...As were Avondale on Saturday against Carrigaline going down 4-1 in the end.
It was 1-1 when I arrived and then one of the Dale centre halves decided to loft one in to his own net despite receiving a fairly loud call from his keeper.
It was fairly even after that until mid way through the 2nd half when the legend that is Johnny C got in front of one of the 2 huge mullickers of centre halves, the Carrigaline player then carried on through the back of him. Of course JC missed the pen and then as usually happens Carrigaline went down and wrapped things up almost straight away. 4th was on the break at the death.

the hall beat crosshaven 4-1, the needed to win by 3 to go through, aparantely it was a bizzare game with the hall going down to 9 men and 1 down before half time, then crosshaven went to to 8 men and the hall going on to win by 4-1.. tramore beat bandon 5-0 and temple lost to ballincollig 5-0.

Even enough game by all accounts .
MSL now has linesmen & technical areas marked out, very posh.
Dale had 2 goals ruled out for offside that maybe without a linesmen may have stood, price of progress I guess.

Very true, 'View had no keeper, outfield player in goal. If Rockmount were capable of creating a chance to test him they would have won comfortablty!! Mounts goal was a free kick which turned into a back pass and squeezed under the the "Keeper".

Castleview beat Coll Cors 2-0 at home. 0-0 at half time, eventually got a goal half way through the first half and finished the job off late on. Corinthians are a very young side, new manager from UCC bring up all the students I suppose. They'll improve over the season I'm sure.
