Ur wrong shin guard because there is two other teams also thrown out....but u should no that....shouldn't you....yes rules are rules shin guard but our point is why would you put in a rule to stop underage players progressing...let's be honest this rule was to stop senior players from playing in it,which does make sense, but makes no sense to stop underage from progressing!!

Local Cup Rules, The John Hayes Cup, "Only players registered in the Junior First Division are eligible to play in this competition"I think this is straight forward enough,
With regard to this competition or any other rule, get your club to submit a "change of rule proposal for the AGM" to the MSL (re youth players or whatever)before 30th April as per rule 42, Thats the way to go, and stop ranting about the MSL and every rule in the book on here.

Hall 1 up on Marys. Came away with 15 to go. Witnessed an unbelievable decision in this game. Hall player was straight through on goal and ref blew up to book a Marys player on the half way line for dissent. Why not leave the ball go dead. Incredible !!!!

Yeah 0-0 today away to Bandon. Fair result in the end as we played all the ball but never tested their keeper. They contained us and in the last 15 mins broke well to make Mick Devine make 3 great stops.

So it goes to last game of the season again in div 1 with 3/4 teams still able to go up. Great fun to be part of it and pleasure playing Bandon today. Committed and honest from both sides. ref did well as well Tomas long I think it was. Always nice to compliment them when they do well.

Does that mean the 19s could have played if they signed junior form?

Looking at the 3 league tables there is still a lot to play for! Second division still to be decided and is pretty tight, first division is again exciting this year but the students are still favourite. Finally the relegation battle in the premier league is fascinating. Looks to me that the college committees mistake earlier in the season could be critical-ouch,that's gotta hurt!!!

Totally agree, exciting matches lie ahead. I still fancy College C to get out of it. I could be mistaken but I think Blarney have Avondale and Rockmount still to play. I fancy Corinthians to get something in Avondale park tomorrow night. UCC should come up alright and will stay up I would imagine. Will Midleton get brought back into it? Whoever goes down I suppose deserves to go. Hard one to call.

Heard a rumour we had 9 players yesterday! We weren't short! We had a full compliment, our opposition were short but I'd rather not talk about other teams!

Next Saturday will be a great day for football. Reckon the place to be will be Fermoy, don't see Bandon beating castleview in their own patch. Even though they have nothing left to play for, I imagine Castleview will want to keep playing well in order to keep players in form for the cup! If i'm not mistaken fermoy are unbeaten at home in the league so far this season. Will be a very tough game for both sides with fermoy knowing only a win will do them in order to have a chance of promotion. Ucc will surely have no problems at home to Cobh, and Carrigaline to get the result they need away to Fermoy to join them in the premier :)

Not just based on this line, but, as a guy involved in a junior side, I just dont understand how paying someone in amatuer football works?
Im not being smart - just asking someone to help me understand.
My thinking is as follows: Beckham deserved the huge money he was on at Madrid, lets say for example 200k a week, cos he was bringing in 250k a week. No Brainer.
What do clubs gain from paying players? How do they get it back? How is it better than buying the U11's a training top or buying more footballs or spending it on a pitch?

Can someone who has been there offer an insight?

Thanks.

More sponsorship towards the club? Doubt Gareth Cambridge will go out there anyway. Can see him staying with Rockmount

That's one sure thing that won't be happening. I played with garryduff but everyone knows how that worked with the paying of players. I dunno how clubs can justify it to be honest can't be good for the dressing room either

Don't know whether this quote is questioning the integrity of John Cotter but until it's clarified perhaps it's best to ignore it.
I don't know what type of team college had out but Avondale went as strong as possible I'm told. Caulfield had a slight knock so he was a used sub. All the other big names started- Marky Sul,Kev Mul,Graham Mac,Spratty,Decky Cahill etc.
